A recomendation letter to enter U.A  signed by... All Might - Said Izuku while reading the letter

Indeed, the entrance exams begin in 4 months, you can join U.A by doing the recomendation exam, which is less troublesome and with few people, do you want it? - Said Aizawa

It is, but i'm still lacking in controlling my quirk, while most people had their entire lifes to learn how to use it, i just got it less than a month ago, i need time to perfect and dominate my quirk - Izuku

So you did the special exam not to join U.A early, but to have free time to develop your quirk - Nezu

Precisely, i will join U.A in 3 years, i still have much to learn about my quirk, three years is enough time to improve myself to become a hero - Izuku

Izuku absorbed and assimilated much spiritual energy

He could use advanced Kido and Hoho to be on pair or slightly superior to most captains in Soul Society when Izuku was a teacher and captain of Soul Society himself.

During these 3 years Izuku performed some tests with his powers, specially with the limitations of his Total Hypnosis granted by Kyouka Suigetsu, he came to these conclusions:

- Total Hypnosis does not work if the target does not sees it directly with their own eyes, so it can not be used when someone sees it through a recording or even a live camera.

- Total Hypnosis required a significant amount of spiritual energy to activate, but almost nothing to maintain it.

Izuku also became a vigilante for 4 months, using only his hand to hand combat and a mask of a ghost, in that time he used Total Hypnosis on some influent criminals and villains in the regions, making them think he was their "boss", interrogating them made him learn about the person named All for One and the fact that he could steal quirks, but not much beyond that.
