Kirishima was following Present Mic, they were already inside the main U.A building

We are here, All Might wants to interview you - Said Present Mic

All Might? Is this part of the entrance exam? - Asked Kirishima surprised

No - Said Present Mic, openning the door for Kirishima

All Might and another student were sitting in the room, it was Mirio Togata.

Ah... hello - Said Kirishima

Hello young Kirishima, your perfomance during the entrance exam was impressive - Said All Might

I agree, you are a natural-born hero Kirishima - Said Mirio

Ah, thank you - Said Kirishima, unsure what to say next

Kirishima, there's a reason we called you today, i've read your file, you already saved people even before trying to join U.A, catching thiefs and even shielding civilians during a bank heist - Said All Might

I just did what i had to, i could not call myself a man if i had not done everything i could to help others - Said Kirishima confidently

Mirio and All Might looked at each other, Mirio nodded.

Young Kirishima, would you like to become the Symbol of Peace? - Asked All Might

I... think so, that's what all heroes want, right? become the symbols of peace, justice and... - Said Kirishima, but was interrupted by Mirio

Kirishima hesitated to answer, the memories of that day came on his head

Kirishima looked at All Might confused, but Mirio said something first.

Kirishima, the truth is that All Might offered me his quirk a few weeks back... and i'm not sure if i want it or not, i said to him that i'd wait to see if any new students this year would be more worthy of it than me - Said Mirio

All Might showed Kirishima his scar, and explained that after a battle against a villain he became like that, and could only use his quirk a few hours per day, to demonstrate that he turned to his civilian form.

Kirishima was surprised to hear all of that

One for All is my quirk, it stockpiles raw power that the user can use to increase his strengh, it is a transferable quirk that becomes stronger with each user

 It has been passed by heroes to other heroes and i feel it is time i pass on it to the new generation of heroes - Said All Might

You want to... i... don't know - Said Kirishima conflicted

Kirishima was confident and earnest, but within he was still insecure about himself, he was not sure if he could handle such burden, to become the new All Might

You don't have to give your answer now, i'm sure it has been a long day - Said All Might

We will enter in contact before the results to know your answer - Said Mirio

Wait... why me? other students like Asui and Midoriya were also very heroic there - Asked Kirishima

All Might froze as he heard the name Midoriya

You were the one we judged to be the most heroic there, i was totally moved when you runned back to the robots when the open gate and easy victory was right in front of you - Said Mirio

Kirishima took a few moments to reflect on everything, All Might and Mirio were watching him.

I'm sorry, i can't accept your quirk, i want to become a hero with my own strengh...respectufully saying - Said Kirishima, avoiding implying that taking One for All was "cheating"

I undestand your feelings young Kirishima, you are free to go...ah, and please don't talk about One for All to anyone, it could be dangerous for you, me and Mirio - Said All Might

Thank you All Might, i will keep the secret of course... and if you need anything, you can count on me... you too Mirio-senpai - Said Kirishima with a smile

Thank you Kirishima, we will see each other soon on U.A, i'll show you around someday - Said Mirio

Mirio and Kirishima in just a few minutes created a strong connection

I'm not gonna lie, i did not expect Kirishima to refuse - Said All Might with a sigh

So Mirio, what are you gonna do? - Asked All Might

Mirio did not respond, he was thinking... All Might spoke again, he had an idea of what Mirio was thinking.

Midoriya is a no-go, his quirk makes One for All almost useless to him, and he is not exactly an... inspiring hero, we could try Asui or Uraraka....

No - Said Mirio interrupting All Might

Kirishima said he wanted to become a hero with his own strenght... i also wanted it, i mastered my own quirk to become the symbol of peace...of hope.. but i was not sure if i was the right person to do so, there could be someone that would carry this dream, this torch... and make it shine brighter than i would, but if you say i'm the person that should receive OFA then i will trust your words for now on, the words of the number one hero.

All Might, i will accept One for All... i want to become the greatest hero and the Symbol of Hope for the people - Said Mirio expressing his emotions.
