Sersi's pov

I stopped at the mess hall before going to the lab, wanting to get some food before I face the day. I sat at a table when Eric sat beside me.

"Holy shit, what happened to you?" He asked, holding my face in his hands as he inspected it.

I don't like you touching me.

"It's nothing. The medic tents got attacked yesterday. I'm fine." I shrugged out of his hold, moving a bit further away from him.

"That doesn't look like nothing Sersi." He grumbled, looking down to his plate, "Are you at least okay?" He asked.

"I'm fine." I gave him a tight lipped smile.

He was about to say something but then Noa and Piett sat across from us, taking his attention away from me.

"You look like shit." Noa said as she took a bite of her toast. This made me laugh, because she looked much worse than I did. Her face was covered in cuts and she had a bit of a black eye.

"Says you." I joked back, making her smirk.

"Well I'm glad the two of you think it's funny." Piett rolled his eyes, making us chuckle a bit.

"Come on, it's kinda funny." I shrugged, taking a bite of my own toast.

"It's really not. You look like you were beat half to death." Eric grimaced.

My mouth fell agape, "I do not!" I declared, "I am way to talented for that." I shook my head.

He's just annoying me now.

"This isn't funny Sersi. You seriously could've gotten hurt, you need to be more careful." He raised his voice a bit. My brows furrowed a bit, turning to look at him as he stared at me. He was angry with me, as if this was my fault.

"Not that it's any of your business Eric, I was the one who was attacked. I was the one who had to defend myself. Something you'd understand if you left Ren's side. Don't speak to me like I'm your child. I am your superior, and you will remember that." I stood up, not bothering to finish my food as I made my way back to my lab.

The audacity that child has.

This weird sense of possession he has over me needs to end. I will never give him the time of day that he wants. I will never see him that way, and if this continues I will no longer see him in or outside of the med bay. As I entered the lab, I let out an angry breath.

Now he's just pissed me off.

"Who's pissed you off?" I heard Anakin's voice speak from the corner of the room. His voice made me jump, placing my hand on my chest in fear. "Jesus Anakin! A little warning would be nice!" I groaned, walking over to where he laid across a patient chair.

He smirked as I stepped closer, "My apologize, Milady." He joked, smiling beautifully and making me roll my eyes.

"You're going to be the next one to piss me off." I joked, walking over to my table, grabbing my room kit.

"What's pissed you off anyways?" He asked, his eyes never leaving my face as I grabbed his hand, laying it down and opening the compartment to make sure everything was still working properly.

"You already know," I smirked lightly, my eyes flicking to his as he smirked a bit, "Eric seems to think I'm his girlfriend or something. He's mad at me because some psycho attacked me." I rolled my eyes.

"I don't like his thoughts." He grumbled, watching me as I worked. "He has this claim on you. It's unsettling." He admitted.

"Well, hopefully he gets over his stupid crush. I don't date children." I muttered, tightening a few screws before testing the nerve reaction.
