Chapter 3

Autumns PoV

"...And that my friends, is the end of the tour, does anyone have a question?" The wizard that had given them a tour through the academy asked.

A few students raised their hands.

"Great! Everyone who lives in Crystal Cliffs please wait here while I show the others their dorm rooms." The wizard said, completely ignoring the students who had raised their hands. "This way please!"

"I will read out everyone's roommates and let you all settle in after that."
"Room number 1; Petal and Destiny"
"Room number 2; Grace and Ivory"
"Room number 3; Ocean and Quartz"
"Room number 4; Autumn and Sun"

Autumn breathed in at hearing her name.

So my roomie is called Sun, I like that name!

"Room number 5; Altan and Thomas"
"Room number 6; Moss and Casper"
"Room number 7; Charlie and Achan"
"Room number 8; David and Benjamin"

"That's it! I'll leave you all to it! Dinner will be served in the cafeteria at 8 o'clock!"

As the wizard left all the students started searching for their room and roommates while unpacking all of their luggage.

Room number 4, room number 4. Geez, there are only 8 rooms how come I am lost?!

"Finally" Autumn sighed as she stepped into the dorm room.

The dorm room existed out of 4 separate rooms, the front door is connected to the living room plus a small kitchen on the right, to the left were 2 doors; one for the bathroom and one for the first bedroom, a second door on the right next to the kitchen led to the second bedroom.

The door next to the bathroom was locked, "Uhmm, Sun? You there?" Autumn asked the locked door, "You want this room? Don't worry I'm fine with it."

No answer

"Uhmm, alrighty then?" Autumn said while walking to the other bedroom.

Maybe she's just shy?

Autumn thought as she started unpacking.

After she was done unpacking she walked into the living room where she saw the sight of a girl with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes sitting on the couch with a book.

Autumn smiled, "Hi! I'm Autumn-" But as soon as the girl noticed her she stood up and walked into her room without saying a word.

Autumn knocked on the closed door, "Are you okay? Did I say something wrong?"

Again, no answer

"Uh, see you at dinner then, I guess ?" Autumn said before walking back to the couch again.

At dinner in the cafeteria;

Autumn walked to one of the tables where 2 girls were busy chatting with each other, "Hi, I'm Autumn, mind if I join?" She carefully asked. "Not at all" a girl with dark blue eyes and dark brown hair answered. "I'm Ocean Shadow, future queen of The Ocean Empire, and you?"

Autumn's eyes widened, "You're royalty too?!"

The brunette smiled, "Yeah! are you one too?" Autumn smiled back, "I'm Autumn Major-Solidarity, future queen of Rivendell." "Rivendell?!" A girl with light brown hair and green eyes that sat next to Ocean squealed, "I love Rivendell! I'm Quartz Moon, future queen of Gilded Helianthia."

"Nice to meet you both" Autumn said before sitting down next to Ocean.

"Dinners ready!" A male wizard announced, "Come get it now that it's still warm!"

As the girls took their meals to their table Autumn noticed something;

Where is Sun? I don't see her anywhere

After dinner everybody went back upstairs to their dorm rooms, Autumn followed their example.

"Sun? Why weren't you at dinner just now?" Autumn asked again, at a closed door. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

Finally, an answer.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No."

"You sure?"

"Y-y-" Suddenly the girl started crying, not even able to finish what she was going to say.

"Sun, maybe I can help, please, let me in"

Silence, then the door finally opened, a girl with teary eyes stood in front of Autumn.

"What's wrong?" Autumn asked while guiding the blonde to the couch. "Can I help?"

"No."

"But what's wrong?"

"I-i, I don't want to go to this fucking school!" The blonde girl cried out. "I won't ever make any friends here anyway because-" The blonde suddenly shut her mouth.

"Because of what?"

"Because...because my father is the king of The Lost Empire."
