Deadly Promise

Ch 13

         After yesterday's awesome attempt to figure out who was all in Mystic Falls to unseal the tomb, Seraphina was already awake and dressed. She was drinking coffee and staring off into space. She had just finished drinking her coffee when her phone rang. It was Stefan.

        "Well if you were still pissed at me I don't think you would be calling right now," She said. Stefan sighed.

         "Oh I'm still pissed, but we need your help," He said. Seraphina raised an eyebrow.

         "What? Why?" She asked.

         "I need you over here at Elena's, we are trying to find Jonathan Gilbert's journal and she can't seem to find it," He said. She remembered Anna saying it was with Alaric.

         "It's with Alaric," She said. It was silent on the other end for a moment.

        "How do you know it's with Alaric?" He asked.

         "Because a blast from the past is also here. Anna, if you remember her," She said. She got up and put her mug in the sink.

        "Okay well I still need you over here," He said and hung up. She set her phone down and scoffed.

         "Yeah and that's gonna go over well with Elena," She said. She got dressed in washed out high-waisted jeans with holes in them and a long sleeved, cropped sweater that was see-through with a black halter bra underneath. She grabbed her keys and drove to Elena's. When she pulled up she saw the whole crew was there. She sighed and got out of the car.

         "I don't understand why she has to be here," She heard Elena say. Stefan shook his head and pointed to his ear, signaling she could hear them. Seraphina chuckled as she walked up the steps to the house.

         "Oh no, keep talking, I could hear you from down the road. It's cool. Because I also don't understand why I'm here," She said. Stefan looked at her.

        "You said Anna was here, so with that, we need your help," He said.

          "Wait, whose Anna?" Elena asked. Seraphina and Stefan looked at each other. Seraphina started explaining.

~Flashback~

         Seraphina was outside with Pearl and Katherine. They were talking about the problem that was brewing in town.

         "The fact the brothers know you are a vampire and that vampires exist puts us all in jeopardy Katherine," Pearl said. Katherine giggled.

        "You think this is funny?" Seraphina asked her. Katherine looked at her. She shook her head.

        "I think it's funny that you two think they would tell anyone," She said. Seraphina smoothed out her dress in frustration.

        "I think we should leave," Pearl said. Seraphina nodded her head.

         "I agree with Pearl. It isn't safe here anymore. The Founders have a new device that will locate any and all vampires in town. It's like a compass. Thankfully I cast a spell so I couldn't get caught, but it activated and spun. We aren't safe here," Seraphina explained. Katherine shook her head. Pearl looked towards her daughter, Annabelle.

         "Please be careful Anna!" She yelled to her daughter playing with the horse. Pearl looked back at Katherine.

         "I'm not ready to leave quite yet," She said and wandered back into the house.
