Chapter 8

"Hey Shuri." I said Walking into the Bathroom.
"Hey Zuri, are you ok?" She asked me to come over to me.

I hugged her.
"Yah i'm fine, but i'm about to murder this kid called Flash." I told her, "He keeps on hitting on me, and harrassing me."

"Well, I'm pretty sure Peter will if This Flash does it again, Peter really Likes you." Shuri told me.
"Yah, we are really good friends." I said, sitting on the bathroom counter.

"No, I mean Like Likes you." Shuri told me, smiling.
"Yah, as if, anyone could ever be like me." I said, chuckling.
"He really does, you should ask him out on a date." Shuri told me.

"Maybe I will, but I'm ditching school, Wanna Come?" I asked, hopping off the counter.
"No, we need to stay here, outsmart everyone." Shuri said, crossing her arms.
"I'm leaving during the class change." I said, leaving the bathroom.

"Zuri, I'll come with you, where will we meet?" Shuri asked.

"Downstairs, next to the bathroom by the very back of the school." I said running back to class.
"Ms Stark, you were gone for 5 minutes, if it happens again You will have Lunch detention." Mr Hart said as I entered the classroom.

"Yah, Whatever." I said under my breath, sitting back down.

I grabbed my book, and started reading it again , not paying attention to the lesson. I heard the bell ring, and everyone started grabbing their things, and leaving the classroom. I grabbed my stuff, and walked over to Peter.

"Hey Peter, I'm ditching this hell hole, wanna come?" I asked him as he finished grabbing his stuff.
"I would but if May ever found out she would literally kill me." He said, walking with me towards the door.

"Yah, but she would never find out, plus you could start patrol early!" I said.

He grabbed my hand and started pulling me through the crowd towards our lockers.

"Yah, I mean your right, let's do it." Peter said, grabbing his things from his locker while I grabbed mine.

I led him where I was meeting SHuri, and she was there with Jordyn and Lilly.

"Hey guys, are you ready to ditch this place?" I asked them, crossing my arms.

"Yah, I already had to deal with math which isn't bad because of Mrs KAy, but i don't wanna deal with any other classes." Jordyn said.

"Same, I already know everything Yall and learning so, let's go." I said, leading the way to the back door.
"I Hacked all the security cameras, they are all on loop." I told them, opening the door and running to the fence.

I proceeded to climb up and over landing on the Grand all the others following me.
"So Shuri now that we don't have school, wanna go on a date?" Jordyn asked Shuri.

"Yeah." Shuri said, and Jordyn grabbed her hand, leading her away.

"So Peter, watcha want to do?" I asked.
"Wanna go on a date?" He asked, blushing a little.
"Yes." I replied, a huge smile on my face.

"Wait- Really?" Peter asked, confused but happy.
"Yeah, I've been waiting." I said, grabbing his hand, "Let's go to the best Sandwich around."

Peter smiled and started pulling me towards the sidewalk. We walked together hand in hand, both of us smiling.

We finally arrived and Peter ordered the sandwiches, and I got some fruits. Specifically Strawberries, Grapes, and some melted chocolate sauce.
"Hey Zuri, are you ready to check out?" Peter asked, walking up to me.

"Yah." I said, walking to the register and setting down the things by the sandwiches.
"Mr Delmar, that's all." Peter said to the person behind the counter.

I saw a cat sitting there and started petting it. It was really cute. I've always had a connection to cats probably because of the Black Panther Royalty.
"Oh Shes the girl. Zuri wasn't it?" Mr Delmar asked me, leaning on the counter.
"Yah it's Zuri." I replied.

"Yah, you're pretty cool, Peters never acted like this, you really changed him." Mr Delmar told me.
I saw Peter blush, and Mr Delmar laughed.

"Anywho, that will be 8 dollars, for you guys, you get a discount." Mr Delmar told Peter.

Peter paid and we left, heading to the park. We are gonna have a picnic.

We finally got to the park and sat down under a tree by the pond, setting out everything.

"It's really calm here." I said, eating a strawberry.
Peter bit into his sandwich before saying, "Yah."
I scooted closer to him, leaning my head on his shoulder, eating another strawberry, with the chocolate sauce drizzled on top of it. I grabbed another one, drizzling the chocolate sauce on it. I then threw it in the pond.

"Why'd you do that?" Peter asked me, even though he probably already knew why.

"For the turtles." I replied, giggling.
"I knew it, you always feed the animals. It's the Wakandian in you isn't it?" Peter asked, smirking.
"Yah I guess it is the Wakandian in me." I replied, chuckling.

We finished our food, and cleaned it up, throwing away all the trash.

"We gonna start Patrol? Schools are probably getting out by now." I asked Peter.

"Yah, Do you have the Suit?" PEter replied in question.

"Yah, It's in my mini backpack." I said gesturing to the black bag hanging off my shoulder.

"Great, let's go back to my apartment to change." Peter said, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards a building by the park.

He pulled me into the building, and to the elevator.
"IS this your apartment complex?" I asked him, "I wasn't paying attention earlier."

"Yah, I'm kinda poor." Peter said, kinda embarrassed.

"Oh, well that's ok." I told him quickly.
He led me to an apartment, unlocking the door and entering it.

"May?" Peter yelled as we entered the room.
"Oh Peter, are you home early?" I heard someone say, from inside.

We walked in and I immediately saw a young woman, maybe in her early thirties, young twenties.
"Oh who's this?" The woman asked Peter, looking at me.

I'm guessing this is his Aunt May.
"This is Zuri, she's... One of my friends." Peter said, hesitating.

I don't really know what we are, and it seems he doesn't either.

"Oh hello Zuri, It's nice to meet you." May said, smiling and holding her hand out.
I shook her hand and smiled.

"Hi, you're May right?" I asked her, tilting my head.
"Yah, I'm Peter's Aunt." She replied.
"It's good to meet you." I said, smiling.

"Ok, May me and Zuri are gonna go out today, we just came to drop my things off."Peter told her.
"Ok, well maybe later She can join us for thai food?" May asked, directed at me.

"Yah, I'd love to." I said, looking at Peter, who smiled.

"We will see you later May." Peter said, pulling me to his room.

He started changing into his SPiderman suit, so I turned around.

"Oh Sorry." I heard Peter say.
I turned around and he was in his suit, just without his mask.

"I'll leave if you want me to." Peter Told me.
"No, it's fine, you can just turn around." I told him, and he did.

I changed into my suit, it was like T'Challas, but spandex, and not a helmet, just a black mask.
"Let's go." I said, walking to Peter.

He turned around and his brown eyes went wide.
"Wow, you look beautiful." He said, a twinkle in his eye.

"Yah, My man pecs really pull it together." I replied, and we both burst out laughing.

"Ok, come here, and wrap your arms around my neck, but please don't scream." Peter told me, motioning to what I had to do.

I did exactly what he said, and we were then swinging through Queens.
