It began with the acknowledgement that everything for Ellie Gilbert has changed. She's in transition into a vampire. Into something she never wanted to be.
Stefan and Damon are torn even further apart over how to help...
He had a police officer stationed outside his hospital room.
A loud clash was heard and the officer's head turned. The officer left his post to check it out.
Connor jumped out and put his arm around the officer's neck. The officer passed out.
Tyler's eyes shot open, and he lifted his head off the pillow.
A second later, Connor came into his room and found the bed empty.
Tyler came out and tried to grab Connor, but he injected something into his neck.
He laid Tyler back on the bed.
"Don't bother. It's a paralytic."
He opened Tyler's mouth and injected another needle into his gums, and Tyler groaned. He pulled on the needle, removing some sort of yellow substance from Tyler's gums.
He tapped Tyler on the cheek and walked out of the hospital room.

Later, Connor was burning some stuff in a glass bottle...
He sat down at a table, and he looked over the newspaper articles.
He grabbed three files that had the names Ellie, Elena, and Jeremy Gilbert.
He opened them.
Later, Damon opened the front door, seeing Stefan working on his motorcycle...
"Good day for a midlife crisis. A hundred and sixty-four years. I'd say you're due." Damon said.
"Ellie's transition to vampire has been a little depressing. I want to help her have some fun."
"Oh. Those who can't do, teach." Damon said.
"I see we're still fighting. Got it. Where are you going?"
"That hunter jacked Tyler Lockwood... of his werewolf venom, so basically he's got vampire poison in a bottle. And I'm gonna find him, and I'm gonna eat him."
