"What?" Soobin exclaimed, his eyes widening as he looked at Yeonjun. "Is this true?"
Yeonjun remained silent, his gaze dropping to the floor, avoiding Soobin's penetrating stare.
Soobin blinked, trying to process the revelation. "Hyung, is this really happening? Are you actually letting Yeji Noona go on a blind date?"
Beomgyu's frustration boiled over, and he moved towards Yeonjun, his face a mixture of anger and desperation. "Why wouldn't you just tell us? You've been acting like it's no big deal, but it is!"
"Beomgyu, wait!" Soobin said, holding Beomgyu's shoulders firmly. "We need to hear this from Hyung."
Beomgyu shook off Soobin's hand, his gaze locked on Yeonjun with a mix of anger and hurt. "Why aren't you saying anything?" he demanded, his voice rising. "Tell Soobin Hyung it's true! Stop hiding!"
Soobin's eyes were locked on Yeonjun, his expression a mix of hurt and frustration. "Hyung, please. Just tell the truth. Is what Beomgyu said true?"
Yeonjun's silence was his answer, and the realization hit Soobin like a ton of bricks. He turned to Beomgyu, his own frustration now mingled with shock. "So it is true," Soobin said quietly, his voice tinged with hurt. "Yeji Noona is going on a blind date, and you knew about it but didn't tell us."
Beomgyu's anger softened a bit as he looked at Soobin, seeing the same pain reflected in his eyes. "Yeah, that's right. And Yeonjun Hyung kept it from us. Why?"
Yeonjun finally looked up, his expression a mix of guilt and resignation. "Yes. It's true," he admitted quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yeji's going on a blind date, and I didn't want to tell you."
Soobin's face fell, a mixture of disbelief and disappointment crossing his features. "Hyung, why? Why didn't you tell us?"
Yeonjun, now starting to get frustrated, snapped, "Why should I have told you? What difference would it have made?"
Soobin, taken aback, replied, "What do you mean, why? We're your brothers, Yeonjun. At least we could've listened to you vent."
Beomgyu scoffed. "Actually, it's true. Why would Hyung admit he's messing up his own life?"
Yeonjun's irritation grew. "What are you talking about?"
Beomgyu sighed, "While I was at Yuna's, I overheard Ryujin Noona on the phone with Yeji Noona. She was saying how insensitive you were the night you sneaked out to meet her. You shot yourself in the foot, Hyung."
Soobin ran both his hands through his hair, clearly confused and in disbelief. "What is happening here?"
"Exactly my question." A voice interrupted the chaos.
The three brothers stiffened and turned to see their father, Mr. Choi, standing in the doorway. His expression was a mix of curiosity and concern.
Mr. Choi stepped into Yeonjun's room and pointed to the corner. "was stern as he pointed toward the corner of Yeonjun's room. The boys exchanged bewildered looks, unsure of what to make of his command.
"Time out," Mr. Choi said firmly.
The three brothers remained frozen, their expressions a mix of confusion and discomfort. Time out was something they hadn't faced since they were fifteen, and the idea of it now seemed almost absurd.
"Did you all not hear me?" Mr. Choi's voice grew firmer. "You just received a time out."
Beomgyu, looking sheepish, shifted uncomfortably and spoke up, his voice tentative. "But Dad, we're not kids anymore."
