Through the heart || Midari ikishima

Chapter four

I followed Shagatake through the school halls. I hadn't realised the size of the school when looking from the outside , but now I was inside , it was like a maze.

Shagatake suddenly stopped , causing me to bump into her and stumble back a few steps. "Oops , sorry!" She quickly apologised, maybe she's not a cunt after all.

"Okay , don't speak unless you think it's needed , often when collecting fees they can get violent or aggressive , so just deal with it how you see fit."

I nodded and we entered the room. To my surprise there was a gamble going on. I watched for a few seconds , it was that green haired girl from earlier and some blonde chick with pigtails.

"Hikari." Shagatake made herself known and the two stopped gambling to look at her , then both eyes fell on me.

"Oh that's the fat pig from earlier.." hikari, apparently that was her name , whispered to some other girl.

I glared at her coldly but kept my mouth shut tight. The other girl however looked at me for a second and then back at Hikari. "Well that's for sure coming from a place of jealousy." She snarled. I noticed she was the only one holding card , hikaris being placed infront of her. I guess they had almost finished gambling.

"Let it play out for a moment.." Shagatake whispered to me , I nodded.

"A place of jealousy? Please ! Who would be jealous of a fat pig like her!" I looked at the girl as she said this , she wasn't much better when it came to looks.

"A fat house pet sure would be." Mary smirked.

"I'm not a house pet." Hikari shrugged.

"You are now!" Mary slammed her card down in the table , making a royal flush. Hikari looked back in horror.

"Now that you're done , Hikari we have come to collect your den fees." Shagatake stated.

"But I don't have the money -..." she looked at us hopelessly. Then to me , a look of disgust plastered on her face. "Cant she pay it? She's got enough money and no one even knows her. She practically owes it to me! It's her fault I left - she distracted me !She's for sure not spending all that money in going to the gym. I wonder what her mother-"

Slap

Hikari staggered back slightly , eyes widening. I glanced to my outstretched hand then pulled it back towards my chest. "Oops." I smirked slightly. "Gosh ! I am so sorry!"

Shagatake looked amused. "Hikari you have three days to get us our money or we will be back." She turned and left the room.

I glanced between the stunned blonde girl to Hikari before following Shagatake out.

"You better go report back to Midari while I collect the rest of todays." Shagatake dismissed me with a wave of her hand and walked away.
