"I do not know what you don't understand this. You cannot run off to who knows where! It's too dangerous. With demons lurking at every crossroad, what will happen when one runs into you?" Mael shouted. Clearly, his emotions were budding into the conversation.
"It's alright, Mael. I'm ok, nothing happened. In case you forgot, I know how to protect myself." You countered, crossing your arms as your eyes rolled.
"You know your Ark isn't as strong as the rest of ours." Mael walked up to you, putting his hands on your shoulders. His eyes were frantic, and you sighed.
"Maybe it would be if you would let me train. All I'm allowed to do is heal! If I were allowed to train, to use my Ark, maybe I would be stronger." You shrugged him off your shoudlers, walking away. "I am old enough to take care of myself. I know you have feelings for me, Mael, but I do not feel the same way for you. Please, don't let those feelings get in the way of letting me be myself." Leaving your words hanging in the air, you left, heading for your tent.
Inside, you flopped on your bed, burrying your head into your pillow. Your thoughts were filled with Meliodas, and the fact that he felt the same way for you. That first kiss, too. Oh, Mother, you would give anything for another kiss from him. His lips were soft, and felt just right against yours. And the way he explored your mouth, just the thought of him showering you with kisses made your stomach flip.
"Y/n!" Ilayda called out as she flew into your tent, her eyes wide and breaths fast. "Sariel told me you left the camp again. How many times are you going to do this?"
"Ilayda, I can't stay cooped up here in the camp all the time. I need freedom, and they don't want to let me have that. They won't even let me train to get better at an Ark!" You sat up, watching the fairy as she paced in the air. "I just needed some time to fly and feel free."
"I'm sorry, Y/n. Sometimes I forget that you need space too. Maybe next time, come and find me. I'll come with you and then you can tell them you weren't alone." Ilayda sat down next to you, her eyes pleading into yours. You knew she just wanted to keep you safe, same as all the others. But her reasons were different than everyone else's.
"Maybe. I'll try, okay?" You squeezed her hand. You hated lying to her, considering you would sneak away three days from now to meet Meliodas again. But maybe you might take her out to fly one day. Maybe right after the meeting with Meliodas.
"Well, come on! Gloxinia and Gerheade are having a little breakfast today. Drole will be coming with a couple giants." Ilayda pulled your arm, trying to get you to stand.
"I'm sorry, Ilayda, I'm really tired right now. Maybe I'll join you after a nap." You weren't lying when you said you were tired. With your meeting with Meliodas and then the lecture Mael was insistent on giving you, you felt exhausted.
"Oh, sure. I'm sorry, I forgot you were gone all night. Come find me later, I wanna try something with you, yeah?" Ilayda dropped your arm, quickly flying over to the entrance of the tent with a smile.
"Sure, Ilayda. I'll see you later." Giving the fairy a smile as she flew out, you laid back down on the bed. You thought about the upcoming meeting with Meliodas, where you would finally figure out the last few details of your plan to end the war. Flipping over onto your stomach, you crawled up your bed, flopping down on your pillow. That meeting will change everything. The two of you will end this war, and then you would build that tavern. You wanted to start a tavern with him. Even if the two of you would hide what you were from the humans, as long as you were beside him, you'd do anything.

You groaned as you felt your body waking up. No, you didn't want to wake up. It was too early. You eyes betrayed you, however, as they opened themselves. You had fallen asleep on top of your covers, and you guessed the day was half over by the amount of light still in your tent. Kicking your legs over the side of your bed, you stretched up, your muscles tight from the hours of being unused as you slept. The events of the previous night flooded back into your mind and you felt your heart rate speed up ever so slightly. You had kissed Meliodas. And he kissed you back.
This changed nothing, and everything. A demon and a goddess falling in love with each other? Unheard of. Probably forbidden. Wait, love? It hadn't gotten that far, had it? No, you both just barely let yourselves give into your feelings, it couldn't be called love yet.
You stood, your dress that you had forgotten to change out of before you fell asleep wrinkled beyond fixing. You quickly changed, brushing your silver hair back into a half-up do, slipping a pair of white flats onto your feet. When you finished, you made your way outside, wincing slightly at the bright sun. Today was about making sure Ludociel wouldn't want to enact his own plan too early. In your meetings with the Four, it was revieled that Ludociel hoped to have everything ready in three months time, which didn't leave you and Meliodas with too much time. Just another reason why you had to finalize this plan.
You smiled and nodded to the fairies who greated you as you made your way to the large tent in the center of camp. This was the tent where battle plans were made, the tent where strategies were formed, the tent where you would hopefully be convincing them to follow you to the final place in your own plan. In your opinion, Meliodas had it easy. He was the leader of the Ten Commandments. They had to follow his orders. You, however, it was different for you. While you may be the daughter of the Supreme Deity, you were sheltered, only a mere healer. Though you suspected that with a little bit of training, you would be able to lead armies into battle. If only Ludociel and Mael would let you.
Maybe you'd get Meliodas to help you train. He could use his battle experience to give you an idea of what it would actually be like, and if either of you got hurt, you had your healing powers.
"Y/n, perfect. We were just about to call for you. The plan has changed, we are moving up the time frame. Within a month's time, this war will be over."
