I brace myself for the bullet to rip through my skin. it never comes, I open my eyes to see Toby in front of me. The bullet drops to the ground in front of him but he doesn't fall.
"Ouch." he says sarcastically. I create a whip with a long piece of lightning and whip the gun out of Toms hand. It flies across the room and lands on the wall. Tom runs out the door and closes it, it sounds like he's blocking it up with things. Suddenly Toby falls to the ground.
"Toby! Toby are you ok?" I say. No answer. "Toby please." Still no answer, I look at him, Theres no bullet holes or anything.
Al, whats happening? I ask him.
It's just the power, it's making its way through his body. he'll be fine you just have to wait Al answers. I go and sit at the wall I was chained to. The chains are quite thin and strong, I don't know what they're made of however.
I wait and wait and wait. An entire day passes and I'm still waiting.
"Al where are Tim and Chloe now?" I ask.
"Erm in a safe house nearby. do you want to talk to him?" Al says.
"Yes please!" I say excitedly.
"He'll be able to see you and hear you and same other way round." Al says.
"Ok!" I reply. Al then turns into a hologram of Tim, Chloe must have done the same.
"Kit!" He says, its so good to hear his voice.
"Hey Tim." I say and wave.
"How's my little princess doing?"
"Erm ok."
"That doesn't sound good."
"I found Toby!" I say excitedly and point to him on the ground.
"Why is he on the ground?"
"Ah well, he has power now and we have Tom a fright. He was going to shoot Toby so I jumped in front of him, but he jumped in front of me and the bullet bounced off." I say.
"Oh." Tim says. A murmur comes from Toby. I run to him and he wakes up.
"Hey bro." I say.
"Sup Toby!" Tim shouts.
"TIM!!" Toby shouts excitedly.
"Haha I'm only a hologram but I'll be there soon. Believe me I'm getting you out of there." he says. I smile. "We better get some sleep."
"Yeah." me and Toby say.
Al comes back to Al and we lay on the ground. Toby falls asleep quickly, however I'm trying to figure things out.
Why would Tom kidnap Toby? Why would he betray us? Why would he let his best friend die? Why would he nearly kill his brother? And the one that's troubling me the most
Why hasn't he killed me yet?
