Since I've been here I've heard about the battle competition, it's where the winner of last years competition picks someone to fight. In my case the winner last year was a big guy named Sam, he's one of people that bully me. Everyone has been asking him who he's going to fight and he just replies "you'll have to wait and see." Whoever he chooses MUST fight. Everyone is exited to see who hiss choose to fight, everyone but me. We have HIM for the battle skills lesson. We have to call him 'Mr Johnson', that's not his real name I growl every time someone says it. Tim and the group are also in this lesson, it's so nice to finally have friends. We were laughing a joking all the way to lesson, Tim pulled me over when we got there.
"How can you stand going in there?, you cos he killed your family." he asks quietly.
"Because he doesn't expect what coming for him." I answer. Tim smiles.
We walk into class, together.
"Oh look, it's cry baby!" Sam shouts. I dart him a bad look. It appears Tim did to.
"Oh how sweet, cry baby has a friend." Sam chuckles.
Toby pipes up from the other side of the room
"Two actually." he says a bit shaky.
"Three, she has three friends, you got a problem with that Sam." Tom says getting bolder and bolder with every word.
"Hahaha aw look there standing up for little miss cry baby." Sam says. I stop walking and tense up
"no one make fun of my friends" I whisper. Tim hears me.
"No! No no no no, leave him, leave him." he whispers, know straight away what I'm going to do.
"Why? He deserves it." I whisper with tears in my eyes.
"Please, for my sake don't do it."
I sigh, "ok" I release my tense and carry on walking. We reach the others.
"Thank you." I say to them all. They nod, as if to say your welcome.
The door opens, everyone stand to attention, I do not. I always do it, is kind of my way of saying 'I'll never bow down to you' he doesn't mind, just gives me a look.
"GOOD AFTERNOON CLASS!" He shouts.
"GOOD AFTERNOON MR JOHNSON!" Again all but I shout. I back away into the shadows so no one can see me, talking under my breath.
"So as you all know today is the battle competition." Mr Johnson says. A big cheer arises from one side of the room. I shake. Tim looks around for me, worried so I slide my hand into his. Confused he looks behind him, I let me eyes shine so he can see me. He understands.
"Our winner from last year is Sam, Sam come up her please." Mr Johnson carries on. Sam walks up to the arena. I tighten my grip on Tim's hand. He strokes it, it somehow soothes me. I loosen my grip.
"So as you know you have to pick someone to fight you. who will it be?" Sir asks Sam.
"Well sir, I've been doing my research and I found that I can actually see who want to fight me, so I ask WHO WANTS TO FIGHT ME?" Sam shouts. the room has gone silent no one wants to. I walk out the shadows.
"I WILL!" I shout, everyone but Sir, Tim, Toby and Tom, laugh. Tim pulls me back.
"You can't!" Tim says.
I put my finger over his lips, "if I can take him down," I point to sir "I don't think this will be hard" He laughs, I smile and wink. Then walk toward Sam.
"Are you sure you want to fight her?" Sir asks Sam.
I get to them.
"What's she going to do? Bite me? Oh I'm so frwightened!" Sam mocks. Sir gulps. Sam shoves me. I her Tim hiss from behind me. I shove Sam back, making him fall over. The room goes silent. Tim giggles. Sam gulps, now he realises he's made a mistake. I quietly ask Sir if I can talk to them all, he quickly agree's. I appear to have frightened him.
"I don't know why I'm here, where this place is or who put me here. Today I'll show you what I'm capable of, then let's see who bully's me!" And with that I jump up, disappearing to all but Tim, as once you see my eyes glow, they will always glow for you. 'I seemed to spit those words out.' I think as I sit on a bar high in the roof of the hall.
"We shall give them a count down." Sir says "3...2...1..."
