Chapter 18

Adeline's POV:

I walked through the doors to Big Hit Entertainment pulling my badge out of my bag slipping it over my head.

"Adeline!"

I turned my head to the sound of my name to see that it was Mirae at the desk.

"How are you?" She asked standing up from her chair.

"Mirae." I smiled. "I'm good. How are you?"

"Oh, you know."

I laughed.

"That I do."

"You free later today?" She asked as I now stood in front of the desk.

"Today, no, but tomorrow I am. You looking to get together?"

"Of course, it's been so long since I've seen you." She frowned.

"I know what you mean. Tomorrow then okay." I spoke.

"Okay." She said as she smiled.

I took my leave from the front desk giving another wave to Mirae as she sat down. Mirae and I had become close after a lunch gathering for employees. We just happened to be seated next to one another and got along really well. We tried to meet up anytime I was back in South Korea. We hadn't spent any time together since October. My last time here before now which was in February. During that time, I ended up splitting my time between Joon's for Seollal to meet his family and then helping Torrie get settled. Any other free time I had was dedicated to my schoolwork. I quite literally had my hands full since the start of January with work, school, and everything else in between. However, seeing how I wasn't going to be back in South Korea again until April, I was definitely going to make some time in my busy schedule to spend with Mirae, so I pulled my phone out and blocked off my day tomorrow to spend with her. I slipped my phone back in my pocket as I rounded the corner into the hallway. Just after I did, I heard someone shout, "noona." I looked up and a smile spreading across my face knowing exactly who it was that called me.

"Kai. It's been a while."

He ran up to me and immediately pulled me into a hug.

"Oh, okay." I laughed out returning his hug.

"Are you here to work with us again noona?"

"Sadly, I am not. I am just here for a meeting with Youngchul."

He tsked and shook his head.

"The others aren't as fun as you were to work with."

I smiled.

"I'm sure that isn't true. Where are the others?"

"Oh, they are in the dance practice room." He said indicating somewhere behind him. "We are on a small break in-between practice."

I looked at my watch. I still had about 20 minutes before I had to meet with Youngchul which meant I had time to say hi if they had time for it.

"If you still have time, can I come say hi to the rest of the guys?"

His eyes lit up at my words the same time my wrist was grabbed by him, and I was dragged down the hallway laughing. The dance practice room it turned out was in an area of the building I had yet to see. I tried to remember all the turns we made so that I would be able to make it back into familiar territory when we finally stopped at a door. I could hear music and some laughter coming from behind it. Kai opened the door pulling me through it into the room. My smile grew wider. Chaos. That is the word I would use to describe the scene that unfolded before me. Taehyun and Soobin were chasing each other around the room in circles with Beomgyu sprawled out in the middle of their circle like a starfish, and Yeonjun was in front of the mirror doing the robot in front of it while singing crown in an opera tone. I giggled to myself as Kai standing next to me face palmed himself. It was in that moment that Yeonjun caught sight of me in the mirror. He stopped dancing and singing and spun around to face Kai and me.
