She just rushed inside. I did not think much about it, and went inside too. At 10:00, it would be "Lights Out!" and if I was outside and came late, I would get a good scolding. Heck, I would be caned. So I rushed inside too.
And that's how I was in my room. I was shivering, and realised that I'd been thinking in my room for so long. I quickly closed the window, and leaped into my bed, pulling up the blanket upto my chin. My roommate, Henry, had already slept.
That night, I couldn't get the incident out of my head. How can someone just die without any concrete reason leading to their death? The mystery was unbearable.
But if I'd known at that time as to when exactly I was going to go through the same thing, I wouldn't have cared to think about it at all.
I lay awake in bed for a long time. Was it dawn? I didn't know. I was in a state of restless sleep, and I didn't dream.
The next day, I borrowed a copy of the newspaper from the library for any further information on the issue. I shouldn't have done that, for I was scared, immediately. This wasn't a normal case, that was for sure.
The headline said, "Second teen victim dies under mysterious circumstances."
