~ Eddie's POV ~

We got in my van, drove and stopped at a random sidewalk that was a few blocks away from Dustin's street. We were still bleeding. Steve's head rested on my shoulder and my arms were around him. I just let him cry and cry. Finally let it all out.

"I don't have anywhere to go..."

"You can stay with me if you need to, ok? Wayne won't mind."

He sighed. "I just don't know what to do. That place was Hell but it was my home. The only home I had ever known... I just don't know what to do now that it's not..."

I rubbed circles into his back as an attempt to soothe him. I had never been good at comforting people so I tried my very best. But I knew he needed Robin or Dustin. Or just someone who could really help him. I love him but I can only do so much. He needs the other people he loves too.

I continued hugging him before a voice interrupted us. "Munson, great. I was just looking for you. I need you to talk about your record, particularly on the part having to do with your crim-" Hopper. He stopped suddenly. "Harrington?"

Steve raised his head, wiping his teary eyes in the process. "H-Hopper?"

His voice and face softened from his serious one to one of kindness and empathy. He kneeled in front of him. "Hey, kid, are you ok?" He shook his head, still crying from the previous events. "Hey, hey... it's ok." I separated from Steve so Hopper could comfort him. "It's ok..." He put his arms around Steve. "Just tell me what's wrong..."

"I-I... I just got kicked o-out of my hou-house."

"What, why? Why would your parents do that?"

"They found out I liked boys..." His voice was barely a whisper.

Hopper seemed shocked but continued comforting him. "Hey, hey, it's ok. It's ok. Just tell me about what happened."

"E-Eddie stayed over last night, my dad saw us together in my bed and put two and two together." He was still shaking and crying, his voice was starting to stabilize though. That could be counted as a good sign.

"Is Eddie your boyfriend?" He nodded. "Your dad didn't like that, did he?" He nodded his head again. "Did anything else happen?"

"He beat us." Shocked silence ensued. "Both of us."

He looked at our wounds, seeing the nearly-dried blood on our faces, bodies and clothes. "Do you have anywhere to stay?"

I nodded, saying, "He can stay at mine."

"Wayne's ok with that?" I nodded again. "Ok, well, if you ever need a place to stay I have a cabin in the woods. Me and El live there already but we have a spare room you can use if you ever need it."

Steve hugged him again. "Thanks."

He hugged him back. "No problem."
