"One in a Million"

The Bus

Kayla's pov
I woke up in the morning and layed back down then I remembered that there was school so I quickly got up and got dressed. I put on a white tank top with an unbuttoned blue and white jersey over it. I put on ripped high waisted denim shorts, and then my navy blue Pf flyers. I didn't know what to do with my hair so I just let it down and put on a New York Yankees hat backwards. After that I put on some make-up but not too much I just hate how girls put so much make-up like hello were not in a beauty pageant. Anyways I looked in the mirror to see how I looked. I really didnt care but then I looked at my face and said "shoot. My lips are huge. Whatever I dont have time for this." Then I went downstairs and quickly ate breakfast.

I walked to my bus stop with Scotty. He looked so happy. I asked him "why are you so happy?" and he said " because this is a new school and I can have a fresh start and make new friends." I said Oh right well thats good."

When the bus arrived Scotty got in and sat next to a kid that was about his age. I looked to find a seat and I noticed everyone was looking at me. Did I have a zit?!?! Did I smell wierd? I put on deodorant and perfume what could it be? I kept walking and saw a kid sitting with a jersey almost like mine and I asked him " may I sit here?" and he said "Sure!" "thanks." I said. When I sat down I looked out the window and heard an angry voice saying "yeah yeah I thought I was sitting with you? What happened? I turned around and it was the tan guy. I felt bad and said "im sorry. I can find another seat." I stood up and he said " no no its fine I'll sit with ham." I sat down and said "thankyou." he said "no prob." The kid next to me said "hi my name is allan mcclennan but everyone calls me yeah yeah. Whats your name?" "my name is kayla." "nice to meet you Kayla. So you like baseball?" he asked. "Love it!" I replied. He said "really? But girls can't... Nevermind." "cant play? They all say that until a girl challenges them and they believe they suck but instead the girl strikes him out." I said smiling.

He look puzzled and laughed. "What? You don't believe me? Fine I'll challenge you then." I said "okay meet me at the sandlot at the end of school." he said. Then I said "whats the sandlot?" "oh right your new. Umm wait for me outside your house and I'll walk you there." he said.
Then we arrived at school.
