Internally screaming, Nick responded with a simple and teasing, "I mean, I am pretty hot. Thanks for noticing" Eddie laughed at this, while Nick let a cloud of smoke from his cigarette hit the air.

Eddie then reached up, and put his other hand on Nick's unoccupied cheek. "Hey, I'm proud of you. I know it was hard to open up to me. And then, sitting with us at lunch. And, talking to me more. A. And, even now, we're sitting here, talking, and smoking, and just being together. You know, being friends. I'm really happy you've realized you dont have to be something you're not. Because, you deserve so much more. I know you do. You're a really great guy, so I'm happy you're finally getting better at being yourself. Even if it's little steps for now, I know you'll get to a point where you're completely comfortable with everything. And," Eddie paused for a moment. "Sorry I was rambling."

Nick tilted his head back and let out a deep breath, giving the air around them a black tint once more. Slowly, he looked back towards Eddie with a somewhat blank face. He leaned forward into him making sure Eddies hands stayed in place, maintaining eye contact all the while. When his forehead met Eddie's, he closed his eyes and smiled. "Thank you, Eddie, for believing in me. I'm glad we're friends."

They stayed there for a minute in silence. Nick felt as if he was in heaven, with Eddie's scent, a mixture of smoke and bad colonge that somehow worked for him, being all he could smell and having the sting of Eddie's icy metal rings on his burning cheeks. "I like this" Eddie whispered, just loud enough for Nick to hear. He stayed there for a while more, petting Nick's vibrant face and soft hair.

Nick suddenly opened his eyes and checked his watch. "Shit." he muttered. "Shit? What's shit?" Eddie hastily asked in return. "The arcade, were gonna be late" Nick laughed as he and Eddie gathered up their stuff and rushed to the cars.

"Meetcha there, Ford?" Eddie smiled as he got in his van. "Meetcha there, Munson." Responded Nick with a smirk.
