"PLEASE— PLEASE DONT TELL ME that you haven't watched Sixteen Candles," Robin says, leaning onto the counter.

"Well...I haven't." I shrug as I hop onto the counter next to Robin, my legs dangling off the side. "And I don't plan to anytime soon."

Robin opens her mouth to object, but Steve talks first. "That― That's good," he says, pointing to me. "And really, Robin, suggesting Sixteen Candles to a 14 year old? She should be watching Dumbo, or some shit like that."

"Dumbo?" Me and Robin both say at the same time.

"Am I really that much of a baby to you that you think I should watch Dumbo?"

"Yes!" Steve exclaims. "The most explicit thing I would let you watch is Ghostbusters. Robin is corrupting you by the day and it shows."

"Okay, Mom," I say, sarcastically.

"You're a hormonal little teenager," Steve continues. "No movies for you that will fund your... impulses."

I grimace at the word and so does Robin. "Ew, gross," Robin says. "Don't say impulses!"

"Impulses," Steve deadpans, as he files some DVD's into a cart.

"Like you didn't get laid by 10 girls in your Sophomore year," I say, grabbing a handful of the assorted jellybeans that lay in a clear, round bowl on the counter. I'm about to pop a handful in my mouth when I think twice about eating them and place them back in the bowl.

"I'm surprised you don't have at least 3 STD's by now," Robin chimes in.

"Says the people who have had no action whatsoever," Steve mutters grumpily.

"Hey hey hey, I've had action," Robin defends.

"You've had action? I mean, look at yourself, Robin. You shitty little shithead hasn't even come up with the guts to tell Victoria that she likes her!"

"Vickie," Robin says through her teeth as she rolls her eyes. "And no. I'm just waiting for the right time.

"The right time is now, Robin."

I blink several times, confused. "Wait! Are you talking about Vickie? As in...Vickie in band?"

Robin nods shyly, with a hopeful smile pasted on her face as she stares at her feet.

"And you!" Steve directs his attention from Robin to me. "I'm not letting you off the hook either. Why are you laughing? When was the last time you kissed a guy, hm? The 4th Grade?"

"Me and Mike kissed on accident," I say. "And actually, for your information, my last kiss was only 3 weeks ago."
