It was mid-July and Louis woke up to the sun beating down on his face through a small crack in his curtains. He squinted and rubbed his eyes as he rolled over to grab his phone. It was 7.54am and it was early for Louis to be up on a day off and on a Friday but he was never one to be able to be able to get back to sleep easily once he was awake. Stupid sun, he thought. Or stupid him for not closing the curtains fully.

He signed as he opened up his texts. Two new messages, one from each of his favourite people. Of course he opened Harry's first.

*Good morning, Lou. Let me know when you're awake, I'd like to see you today remember? H X X*

The grin that formed on Louis' face was almost embarrassing and he was thankful no one saw it. The text was only sent about 30 minutes ago but Harry knew he normally woke up pretty late on his days off. Louis reread the message, taking notice of the Lou nickname and the two kisses. Ugh, this boy was Louis' weakness and he wasn't even bothered about admitting it. Not to himself anyway.

*Hey! Morning. I'm up, but barely :) X X*

Louis typed his reply pretty quickly before opening the text from Fran, rolling over onto his front as he did and kicking the covers off of himself a little, feeling the heat from the sun.

*Work sucks without you :(*

Louis saw that the message was from last night and realised Fran had a café shift without him and more importantly, with Luke. Luke was the worst person to be on shift with. He was grumpy and lazy and kind of rude. He felt bad for not replying to the message until now, realising he had been on the phone to Harry when Fran had messaged.

*Sorry Fran, I'll make it up to you. Hoping Luke wasn't TOO bad?*

*He was the WORST. But I forgive you cause its you..* Fran had replied almost instantly.

*I feel honoured :P*

Louis dropped his phone next to him in bed before pulling himself up, his bare feet hitting the cold-ish floor, and stretching out his back. He left the room to shower and brush his teeth and all the rest, having the water slightly cooler than he normally would due to the warmth of the weather today. Louis hated the heat. Well actually no, he didn't hate it. He just preferred it cooler. His favourite seasons were Autumn and Winter. Autumn was pretty and of course brought Halloween and Winter was snowy and brought cosy blankets and hot chocolates and chilled out evenings. As well as Christmas and his birthday, which fell on Christmas Eve.

After he'd finished in the shower he headed back to his bedroom, glancing at himself in his wardrobe mirror as he did. He flicked his hair to the side, sitting down on his unmade bed and grabbing his phone.

*How quickly can you be ready then? H X X*

The fact that Harry always ended every single text with his initial was funny to Louis. Like it wasn't obvious Louis didn't have just one Harry texting him, or anyone else other than Fran for that matter.

Louis glanced at the time on his phone and it was still only just past 9am but whether he planned on admitting it or not, he was just as happy to be seeing Harry today.

*30 minutes if I eat, 20 mins if I don't :P X X*

*So I can either let you starve or torture myself by waiting an extra 10 minutes? H X X*

*That's correct. :P See you in half an hour? X X*

Louis dropped his phone back onto the bed and opened up his wardrobe. It was hot so he needed to choose something cooler but also, he was seeing Harry so wanted to look nice. He rummaged through, finding some pale denim jeans that he actually loved but they were a really thin material, obviously not real denim, so he never usually chose them. He threw those onto his bed, which was still unmade, and carried on looking through his hung up t-shirts. He finally decided on a white t-shirt that was plain at the front but had a pattern on the back. He threw that onto his bed too, heading over to grab boxers and socks.
