Harry had just finished modelling his next photo shoot. He was drinking water when his phone buzzed from the table where he had all his junk - phone, keys, hair band and some gum. He grabbed his phone and answered it without checking the caller ID.
"Hey, Harry here? Oh damn really? Shit okay, erm. Yeah don't worry about it, I'll sort it. Thanks for letting me know. I can call over there today. Laters, bye."
Harry sighed deeply, looking over to Kevin (Kev for short), his security.
"So my uncle died.." a Harry chuckled slightly, not in the haha this is funny way. He was in shock. Harry had no family, other than his little sister Alice. She lived in Australia though with her own little family. Harry was the only of the Styles family left here and his uncle had left his flat to him. He didn't need it, he had money. His own house, not huge but still pretty pricey. His own car. He was pretty well known to most.
Kevin grabbed a chair, pushing it behind Harry making his knees belt and him fall into it.
"What do you need, Styles?" Kevin stood beside him, making sure he was okay.
"Nah I'm good, Kev. I just need to get over there and sort his flat out." Harry sighed, standing up again.
-
Kevin pulled up at the side of the flat block, glancing into the back where Harry was sitting. "This the place?" he asked.
This place wasn't exactly nice. Quite run down and obviously needed to be upgraded in every way. Harry sunk down in his seat, biting the inside of his cheek as he saw the building.
"I had no idea about this place.."
Harry mumbled while undoing his seat belt. Kevin also unbuckled his belt, opening the door and walking round to Harry's door, also opening his. Harry stepped out and pulled his jacket collar as he felt the chill of the wind. He checked his phone for the code that was text to him earlier as he reached the door, and pinned himself into the building. There was a smell, smoke, drugs, damp, alcohol - so many things all musked into one. Harry glanced over to Kevin, who had also noticed the smell. Kevin walked ahead of Harry making sure no one was around in this place before they carried on. He noticed the elevator sign and chuckled slightly.
"Of course its out of order." he said to Harry, who returned the chuckle. They both started to make their way up the stone stairs.
"Floor three, Kev" Harry mumbled, looking down at the details on his phone as they walked. "Flat 8."
When they reached the door, Kevin knocked on, Harry close behind him, tapping his feet while looking around at the floor and the walls. And the decor, if you can call it that. He glanced at the other flat door that he could see from his stance and noticed the white and red sign on the door. 'Final notice...'
A guy answered the door, and Kevin explained to him who they were and why they were here. Harry stood behind him still, listening and nodding along to their conversation. He turned his head to the left again, spotting a boy unlocking the 'final notice door'. His breath gasped. He couldn't take his eyes away. This boy had brown hair brushed to one side and he was kind of small. Smaller than Harry that is. He watched as the boy tore the notice from his door and entered his flat and his heart dropped.
"Styles, you okay?" Kevin asked, nudging Harry's arm. Kevin had been talking to him but Harry's mind was elsewhere. He turned to Kevin and apologised, "Sorry Kev, yeah yeah I'm good."
Kevin led the way into the flat followed by Harry as the landlord showed then around. Everything in the flat was spotless but pretty basic. Harry signed to himself and ran his hand through his hair. Kevin gave him a glance.
"I could have helped out, how didn't I know?" he said as an almost whisper. He didn't want to offend the landlord but he felt really bad for not being around. Kevin put a reassuring hand on Harry's shoulder for comfort and Harry gave him a small smile. He decided he needed to help out. Better late than never right?
"Is this flat rented or did Uncle Les own it?" Harry asked the landlord, walking over to him, learning that it was rented out. "Okay so how much to buy it?"
The landlord explained that he has never actually sold one of his flats before but he could look into it. Harry nodded and exchanged numbers with the landlord for future reference.
"Kev, do you mind trying to sort some packing boxes? I need to clear this stuff, see whats sentimental and what could be donated.." Harry drifted of while speaking, looking around the flat. Kevin nodded leaving the flat to make some phone calls.
Harry hesitated before speaking to the landlord again.
"So the flat across the hall.. I know I shouldn't ask, and it's probably confidential right? The guy that lives there.. Is he behind on payments or something?"
The landlord sighed and nodded.
"Louis is a good guy but money is tight I guess, he always pays in the end but always late.."
"Can I pay it? However much he's behind by?" Harry blurted out whilst mid sentence, making a mental note of his name, 'Louis'.
The landlord just had no idea what to say so just shrugged and nodded. "I mean, I guess so"
Harry noted the payment details in his phone and the total owed just as Kevin came back into the flat. The landlord finalised all the details with Harry and Kevin, and left them to it with the keys. They both started to organise the flat into piles ready for the packing boxes. Harry wasn't super close to his Uncle, so not alot was sentimental. He did call Alice to break the news to her and to check there wasn't anything important that Alice knew of and wanted to keep. Alice mentioned an old cap that Uncle Les always wore and explained she would love to keep it so Harry made a mental note.

For the next few hours, Harry went through the flat with the help of Kevin and decided it was time to leave for another day, when they actually had boxes and enough help to sort the place properly. He sighed, picking up the cap after finding it in a wardrobe and walked to the door. On his way out he called his manager, explaining he needed a payment to be made to the details he was about to text. He handed Kevin the keys to lock the door behind them whilst he was on the call, then as he started on the staircase he texted over the details to cover the rent of the boy that made his heart ache a little. Louis.
As he reached the end of the three flights of stairs he buzzed his way back out and glanced at the keypin.
'L. Tomlinson' he read. He glanced over the other names, not spotting any that seemed to have the initial L. He noted the name into his phone too, I mean, just in case he needed it, right?
Kevin opened up the car door for Harry as he climbed in, then closed the door behind him. Harry buckled up as Kevin got into the drivers seat and started the car. Before driving, Kevin looked back to Harry checking in on him.
"We all good to go, Styles?"
Harry just smiled slightly and nodded, not speaking. Kevin then pulled out into the traffic and drive Harry home.
