Scott is training for tomorrow's preselection when, suddenly, he hears some noises outside. He takes his bat and goes to check. It was Stiles who scared the shit out of him.
"Stiles! What the hell are you doing?!"
"You won't answer your phone. Why do you have a bat?"
"I thought you were a predator"
"A pre— I know it's late, but you gotta hear this. 20 minutes ago my dad left. Dispatch called. Apparently, they are bringing every officer from the town and from the state."
"For what?"
"2 joggers found a body in the woods."
"A dead body?"
"No, a body of water. Yeah, dummy. A dead body."
"You mean like murdered?"
"Nobody knows yet. They only found half. We are searching for the other."
"Hope's not gonna like this."
.............
"Of course I don't like this." Hope says.
"Then why did you come?" Stiles asks.
"Because you forced me."
Stiles parks his Jeep at the entrance of the woods.
"We're seriously gonna do this?" Scott asks.
"You're always bitching that nothing happens in this town." Stiles says.
"I was trying to get a good night sleep before the game practice tomorrow."
"Rightttt, cause benching is a cruel effort."
"No, because I'm playing this year"
"Hah...that's a good joke, buddy." Hope says
"I'm serious. In fact, I'm making the first line."
Hope is trying to not to burst into laughing.
"Hey! Everyone should have a dream. Even a pathetically unrealistic one."
"Just out of curiosity, which half are we looking for?" Hope asks.
"Umm...that's a really good question." Stiles answers
"Seriously? So, we are looking for something and we don't even have a clue about it?"
"Hey! We know it's...half of a body..."
Hope rolls her eyes.
"Get down!" Stiles says.
All of them were on the ground, watching the cops coming on their way.
"Oh shit! They are gonna see us." Hope says.
"Come on!"
"Stiles were are you going? Scott asks.
