"That's lovely" a man tells from what it looks like a younger version of Hope.

"Mom said you like to paint too."

"I do, very much."

Hope gives him a piece of paper.

"I used to paint on animals skins."

"It sounds awful."

"Well, when I was born, paper wasn't really a thing. I even used to make my own paints from flowers and berries. Look, that one has a vibrant orange. "

"I like orange. Look, a butterfly. Oh,no...his wing is broken. Let me fix it."

She uses magic to fix it.

"Sometimes my magic is not that stable. I can't always control it and it scares me sometimes."

"You know...you are the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson. You are going to be the greatest witch in the world and nothing will scare you."

Hope wakes up

Hope wakes up. It wasn't really a dream. It was a memory. Klaus Mikaelson. Her father.

............

At school, Allison was at her locker and when she opens it, balloons are flying out of it.

"Is your birthday today?" Hope asks.

"No,no...I mean, yes. I don't know how Lydia found out."

"It's Lydia. She knows everything. Why don't you want people to know about it?"

"Because I'm 17."

"You are 17?" Scott asks behind her.

"Omg, yes. This is the kind of reaction I was avoiding."

"Why didn't you tell me? I mean, I get it. With moving around, you had to repeat a year, right?"

Allison kisses him.

"What was that for?"

"For being the first one to make the correct assumption. Everybody's always like <<Did you get held back?>>."

"Well, no worries, Alli, I'm not gonna say a thing and neither Scott. Right?"

"Yeah, of course."

"Alli?"

"You don't like it? I can call you normal."

"No, it's fine, just,..surprising."

"Well, I gotta go. Don't do anything stupid. "

Hope leaves and Scott says:

"Let's skip classes."
"The whole day?"

"Yeah, it's your birthday. It's all good."

At the chem class, Stiles was coloring his book, while the teacher was talking about the parent/teacher conference.
