nicky had gotten me the tylenol, i hadn't used it. i wasn't planning on getting clean. i'd rather just be high in prison then stay sober.

it was early, still dark out. i couldn't sleep that night. i was low on pills. so...i did what any junkie would do. i went too get more.

i got a baggy from luschek. like i did before. i got it the same way. it was a bit embarrassing but nobody would know, because then he would get in trouble.

i had gotten back to the dorms and into my bed, nichols was awake. she looked down at me. she was on the top bunk.

"what's in your hand?" she asked

"nothing." i told her, getting back into my bunk.

"oxy from a CO? i'm not stupid."

"don't tell anyone. i'm gonna get clean after this."

"your such a liar. i don't care what you do, just keep it away from me." she layed back down in her bunk.

i didn't say anything——- i don't have anything to say to her.

breakfast came, so the announcement was made. i wasn't hungry so i waited in line for a shower. it was crowded and the bathrooms were gross. i put on my shower shoes before stepping under the water.

i felt self conscious being exposed and naked in front of everyone, i couldn't do anything about it. there was no privacy in prison. i had enough time to wash my body and my hair quickly. i turned off the water, got back into my orange uniform and i headed to breakfast.

i sat down at a table, i didn't bother waiting for a tray of food. i would just get somthing once my commissary came in.

i put my head down as someone sat next to me, i picked my head up to see the beautiful curly headed curl....... nichols.

"hey stranger." she smiled

"nichols." i quietly said back to her

"come with me, i'll show you a good time."

"are you trying to get me to have sex with you?"

"maybe. it's better then not having sex"

i agreed, following her to a custodial closet.
