Sophia was awoken by a knocking on the pool house door, it was Ryan and he had some clothes with him.
"Come in." Sophia shouted with her eyes closed and still under the covers.
"Okay. My Ma is home and I asked her if you could borrow some of her clothes cause well..."
"I understand. Sorry."
"It's not your fault anyway. Here," Ryan gave her the clothes, "see if they fit. I'll be outside when you are ready."
"Wait, where is your brother?"
"Huh, oh. He is having lunch now in the kitchen, you'll see him again soon." Ryan was having thoughts about Daniel and Sophia together. He was afriad that Sophia would like his brother more than him.
"Okay, I'll get dressed and see you outside in a few moments."
Sophia puts on a pink tank top and blue shorts from PINK, of course she finally has undergarments under her clothes. Then, she quickly makes the bed, had blue sheets and a comforter.
She had a wonderful night full of rest and dreams. It felt so magical to be there with other humans in Sophia's opinion. Once the bed was made and the room looked decent, Sophia walked out of the pool house to see Ryan waiting outside for her.
"Ready to eat?" He lends his hand out to her to escort Sophia again.
"Of course."
Then, they both walk into the gorgeous house, into the marblw kitchen for something to chew on. On the island, in the kitchen, was Daniel having a PB and J sandwich along with their mother making grilled cheese on the stove.
"Ryan, your grilled cheese is almost ready." Their mother flipped the grilled cheese onto the pan.
"Ma, this is Sophia." Introducing her to his mother properly.
"Hi." Sophia shakes Ryan's morher's hand.
"Hello, Sophia. You can call me Mrs. Janice."
"Okay. I just wanted to say thank you for letting me stay here."
"Whatever it will take for you to recollect yourself, stay as long as you want."
"Wow. Thank you."
"It is a pleasure to have you here, Ryan doesn't bring any friends or visitors over anyway. So, I am proud of him." Mrs. Jancie goes over to give a quick hug at Ryan but she squeezes a little too tight.
"Ma, come on, there is a girl here." Ryan whispers into his mother's ear.
"Alright, alright. Besides your grilled cheese is done, eat now next to your brother, please." She flips the sandwich onto a clean glass plate and slides the meal right next to where Daniel was sitting.
"Thanks, Ma."
"Your welcome sweetie."
"Wait, Ma. What is Sophia going to have for lunch?"
"She can have the other half of my PB and J." Daniel holds out the other half of his sandwich toward Sophia.
"Daniel. You know I can make her one if she wants." Mrs. Jancie tells him.
"Well, I lost my appetite, so she can have it." Ryan gets up from his sit and gives it to Sophia to sit down.
"Okay. Since when are you this generous in this household?" His mother asked him.
"Anyway, here you go Sophia, enjoy. I am going to go practice my piano in the living room, okay Ma?"
"Okay, honey. But don't play so loud." Mrs. Jancie says over washing the dishes.
Daniel goes into the room next store that had the grand piano, bright red, in the center of the room. When he started playing, Sophia was mesmerized by the song.
She took a bite of the sandwich and really liked it. So, she ate as fast as she could to go visit Daniel in the other room and see how he plays all of the beautiful music.
* * *
"Hey there beautiful." Daniel looks up from the piano keys and sees Sophia enter the room.
"Hi, cutie." Sophia thought he was playing a name game and decided to go along with it.
"You want to hear my favorite piece to play?"
"I would love to!"
Daniel starts playing the song and it reminded Sophia of a storm ocfueing at sea. How the music is strong and empowering in it's own way. Yet it sounded familiar to her, she just couldn't remember where she heard it from.
"It's called Mermaid's Song. Beautiful, huh?"
"It is beautiful! You play it so well, it makes me want to sing!"
"You sing?" Daniel asks curiously.
"Yeah, just a little." Sophia blushes.
"Well, then I'll start the song from the beginning and you could sing something. Okay?"
"Sounds like a plan."
Daniel starts to play the song again only this time Sophia sings the siren's song, she matches the music tones to the words.
"Sweet Sailor, follow me. To the depths of the blue sea. My heart is open and it's free. Follow the voice and never leave."
Once Daniel finished, he looked like a zombie, that is when Ryan came into the room to see what was going on.
"Sophia, were you singing again?"
"Yes, I mixed my song with Daniel's piano playing! What do you think?"
"Wow, just wow. That was amazing! It was so beautiful."
Daniel then snapped back to the real world and looked at Sophia just lime Ryan had when he first heard her sing.
"Sophia, words can't describe your singing. It was flawless. By the way, you can call me Danny if you want." He then gave her a wink, Ryan caught this and gave him the evil eye.
"Well, okay then. Thanks Danny!" Sophia goes over to him and gives Daniel a hug. He made sure to savor the moment.
"Alright," Ryan claps his hands together. "Who's up for some swimming?"
