"Then I have a condition as well." Seth announces after hearing Isis's conditions. "What's the whole point the penalty then? He's really adamant to not to lose." Nefertari sighs. "That's not allowed! You ignorant fool! Don't you know what 'PENALTY' means?" Isis says.

"For starters, let's hear what he has to say." Maat says. "Maat?" Isis looks at Maat. "My condition is simple. All you have to let us do is to attack each other. the one who hunts the other hunter will be granted an instant victory. How does that sound?" Seth asks.

"Deal" Horus agrees.

"Horus!" "H-Horus." both Isis and Hathor are concerned after hearing Horus agreeing to his uncle's condition. "Don't worry, Isis. Didn't you hear what Maat said earlier? She will scale out the conditions to make sure it's fair." and just what Thoth said Maat announces that Seth will not be allowed to use weapons made of sand.

But now the matter of who will be supplying the weapons to Seth comes up. No God is ready to do it as they don't want to put themselves at risk. "I'll do it!" they all turn their heads to see none other than Seth's own son Anubis volunteering to do the job.

"I have an armory. So I think it would be appropriate for me to be the weapon supplier." he says. "What are you doing here? get out of here!" Seth quickly moves towards him and grabs him by his shawl. "Why are you meddling? Do you want to get yourself killed?" he starts scolding.

"Anubis, what are you doing here?" Isis moves towards Anubis. "Sister Maat, I object Anubis's participation in this match. He's clearly not in the most desirable state right now." Nefertari objects.

"How and when did she reach there so fast?" Hathor wonders confused, her gaze constantly shifting from her sister to her empty throne besides her wondering how she got there so fast without her noticing. "She surely does have a soft spot for that kid." Ra sighs.

"Son of Nephthys, I cannot let you participate in your current state as the Goddess of mirth said." Maat says. "But honorary Maat there's nothing wrong with me. And it's not like I'm directly participating in the match. As long as he doesn't destroy his weapon I don't need to step in." Anubis says.

"This child.." Nefertari says under her breath gaining Horus's attention who was besides her. "He's as stubborn as his father. Words of love and affection doesn't reach his brain." she says. "Isis! Let me have a small talk with Anubis." 

"But honorable Nefer-" "Anubis, come.with.me. Right now." Anubis is cut off with the look given by Nefertari. Her pupils were constricted resembling that of a lion's. Anubis and every other God knew better than angering Nefertari so Anubis just quietly went with her as she ordered without any further objection.  

"Why are you stopping me Nefer?" he asks as soon as they reach inside. "Shut up child! You have no idea what you are getting yourself into!" Nefertari says. "I am not a child!" he says. "Yes, and I'm not beautiful."

"What kind of comparison was that?" Thoth suddenly pops up. "So you mean I'm not beautiful?" Nefertari asks. "N-No, I didn't mean-" "Did you forget that night in the garden?" 

"Umm- uh Do you really need to intervene like this? Why not leave it to someone trustworthy?" he changes the subject. "Plus he doesn't look so good, you need to use your head at times like this."

"See! Thoth says he's willing to do it for you! Isn't that a great news??" Nefertari says clasping her hands smiling brightly with a confused Thoth stuttering besides her. "B-But I'm not suitable for such jobs-" he is cut off by a glare received by Nefertari.

"Of-Ofcourse I'll do it! Just leave it to me! I know there's everything to know about weapons. Just leave it to me." Thoth says. "I have to do this myself!" Anubis says and as Anubis tries to persuade Nefertari Thoth quietly makes his way out of there.

"Why are you so damn stubborn?" Nefertari sighs burying her face in her hands. "Nefer." Anubis catches her hands. "Just trust me. This is my only chance." he says. "Only chance?" she questions. "Only chance to become a God." he answers. "As we are speaking right now, I'm slowly dying. This can be prevented only by me transforming into a God." Anubis says showing his wounded arm.

"But to become a God you need to continue to live till that moment and participating in this task just decreases the chance of your survival." she says. "It will be fine for me as long as he doesn't destroy his weapon." he says.

"Listen to me child-" "I am not a child! Though I haven't alot grown physically by age I'm a man!" he says resulting her to let out a laugh. "By your age you are older than my attendant Rana's great grandfather. Yet you're still a child to me-" "If you see Horus as a man then why don't you see me as a man when I'm older than him?" Anubis asks shocking Nefertari.

"What.... do you mean-" "I saw what happened between you and Horus." he confesses. "It-It was an accident tho, I was just passing by. I didn't mean to see it..... but.... Nefer if you see Horus as a man then why can't you see me as a man as well?" he asks.

"If I too grow like Horus then.... will you too look at me like how you looked at Horus last night?" he asks.

"Ahh, I really can't understand.. That child has an armory, so wouldn't that make him an obvious choice? Why are they dragging it out?" Hathor says bored outside waiting for the decision. "Right mother?" she looks to her mother. "Hmph.. Only if I had a collection of weapon as well." she sighs.

"Seeing how much Seth hates the idea, I think it will be a good idea to let Anubis do it. there's not anybody more qualified than Anubis to do it and he too seems keen on doing it." Bastet whispers. 

"Careful Bastet, you don't want Nefertari to hear this do you? She still hasn't forgiven you for eating her strawberries 480 years 8 months and 2 days ago." Shu says. "You remember the exact date as well?" Tefnut sweat drops. "Ofcourse I do. I still remember how she came to me middle of the night wailing, complaining how Bastet ate her last two strawberries that she had been saving for later as mid night snack along with her wine." Shu sighs remembering how his younger sister barged into his room crying in the middle of the night scaring the shit out of him and how he had to take care of her the whole night. Going to great lengths like doing some tricks with the help of his air to pacify her.

"Shu is right Bastet. By now you must know that our sweet little Nefertari is really overprotective of that child of Nephthys." Ra says.

After a while Nefertari steps out disappointed that she failed to persuade Anubis. Maat looking at her younger sister's expression looks at her husband who just shrugged his shoulder confirming her suspicion.

"It's decided then. Anubis will be in-charge of supplying Seth the weapons." Maat announces.

As Horus was preparing himself for the task he was pulled behind a wall by somebody alerting him. He was ready to attack but soon stopped upon seeing it was Nefertari who had pulled him aside.

"Goddess? How may I help you?" he asks. "Horus, this task is just between you and Seth. No third or fourth person is or should be involved. So don't you dare to take Anubis as a hostage against Seth or try to harm him. If this thought even crosses your mind then it won't take long for my blessing to turn into a curse." the goddess warns him.

"Horus? Do you understand?" the goddess repeats herself upon getting no response from Horus ready to vanish him into thin air if he disagrees with her. "Goddess really cares for Anubis and uncle. When will she care for me too?" he says catching Nefertari off guard. "Rest assured Goddess. I will not do anything that harms Anubis." he leaves.

"Tch, somebody copy, pasted their stubbornness and idiocy to their son." Nefertari says knowing very well that Seth was present there the whole time. "It's not my fault that I share those qualities from within my family. From one of my grandparents' younger sisters to be precise." he says. "You!" Nefertari raises her hand to hit him but he just grabs it and pulls her towards him.
