Mal's POV:

Harry, Melody, Harvey and I were walking to Evie's place. The summer vacation had started some weeks ago and I wanted to hang out with my best friend and her husband. Melody and Harvey were having a running competition while Harry and I walked behind them slowly. “I can't wait to see Evie again... It has been so long”, I admitted. “Yeah, it will be at least more fun than with Lonnie and Jay”, Harry mumbled. “Oh right... The kids were playing with Lonnie's mom, Lonnie and I were having a cup of the best tea of Northern Wei, while you and Jay broke out in a fight...”, I chuckled, while remembering. “I just can't stand him...”, Harry sighed, making me laugh louder. “Come on, we are almost there, Hook”, I smirked. “Yeah, yeah, I know...”, Harry smirked back and together we walked to the house.

Evie's POV:

“Carlos, puppy, are you ready?”, I asked Carlos from the kitchen. Mal and Harry were coming over and I wanted to make a special cake: 25 % Chocolate (Carlos' favorite), 25 % Blueberries (my favorite), 25 % Lavender (Mal's favorite) and 25 % Vanilla (Harry's favorite). And there would be some candy and chocolate sauce for the kids on the top. “Yep, I am coming, Queen!”, I heard my husband say from upstairs and I blushed. I just loved his nicknames for me. “Done!”, I squealed and looked at the cake. It was finally done after all those hours of work. I placed it gently on the kitchen table when I got grabbed from behind. Fearing the worst, I smacked the person and when I turned around I saw it was Carlos. He groaned a bit in pain and I apologized and kissed him.

Some minutes later the doorbell rang and I went to the door and opened it to see Mal, Harry and their children. “M!”, I screamed. “E!”, she screamed back and we hugged each other tightly. “Ohhh... I missed you so much!”, she told me and I nodded: “I did too!”. Harry went over to Carlos and gave him a high five. Then CJ and Ellie came from their rooms and when to the Hook kids. “Come on! We have so much to talk about!”, I laughed and took Mal to my room.

We talked about our husbands, families, jobs, the past, the future and everything else. It was so fun having her around. Then Carlos called us downstairs to eat the cake and we went to the living room. “Finally, you women are finally done!”, Harry exclaimed and let him fall on the couch. “Man...”, Carlos started, but he let it go and sat next to him. Mal and I sat on two chairs and the children sat by their fathers. “I love you all, my family”, I said cheesily. “Love you too, Blue”, Carlos said back, smiling. “Don't get too soft, E!”, Mal said and smiled at me as her way saying ‘I love you too, Eves’. And I blushed. How did I ever get so lucky?
