Things did not work out the way Nayeon planned.

"Ok, repeat to me what the plan is," Jihyo said, hands gripping the steering wheel, clearly frustrated and nervous. They were on their way to pick up Jeongyeon and while the morning had been uneventful, it hadn't quite gone exactly as planned.

Mina had woken up early to make breakfast for the Im's, which the whole family looked forward to since they were night owls and Mina made a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately, this meant that she didn't wake up Nayeon, who was then not ready when Jihyo wanted to leave. They had intended to leave for Jeongyeon's around nine and then be in the city by ten. Mina knew waking up the bunny was a process, one that Jihyo didn't care about, storming in and shaking her awake.

Nayeon was softest in the morning, wandering between coherency and slumber. As cute as she always was, it was like her cheeks were puffier and her words were even more adorable slightly slurred and whiny. Mina would gently nudge the girl so she could slowly slip into reality, always allowing ample time for snuggles and serious discussions around what to eat that day. Waking up Nayeon any other way was a mistake. This had only happened a handful of times, but Mina knew better.

So, in true sister fashion, Jihyo had rushed in, jumping on the bed and throwing the covers over Nayeon's head as they did when they were kids. Nayeon turned over, trying to stay in her dreams until she realized the weight on her chest.

"Bitch we are going to be LATE you need to get up," Jihyo yelled. She tried to grab Nayeon through the sheets and shake her awake until she was met with two blanketed arms wrapping around her. Jihyo might've been working out, but Nayeon knew her weaknesses. The two struggled for a while, until she managed to flip her younger sister over and pin her to the bed. Her eyes were still closed, and she was about to unleash a string of curses until the blanket dropped off her head and she smelled something familiar.

Mina placed a bite of her chocolate chip waffle into the older girl's mouth. She had walked into the room while the two were fighting, waiting to see if either of them would notice her. They didn't. This morning was about to go south, but Mina had managed to do what she always does: save it. Nayeon rolled back over in the bed, transcending with the flavors coating her palette. Jihyo shook off the blankets and looked down as her older sister hummed in satisfaction, not sure if she should thank Mina or be concerned about the state of Nayeon.

"Babe I'm going to make you a plate to go but you need to get ready, ok?" Mina said as she gently grabbed a confused Jihyo and left the room.

"How do you know she's up?" Jihyo asked, genuinely curious at this weird dynamic she had just witnessed.

"Nayeon will do anything for food, but these waffles are her kryptonite. She will be ready in ten minutes, hopefully that's ok. Sorry we are running late today, I was hoping to get these done sooner but your mom was showing me her quilts she's been working on."

"You really are an angel, you know that?" Jihyo smiled. Mina gestured for her to head back downstairs and eat some breakfast. She quickly ran back upstairs to get changed and make sure Nayeon was actually awake. When she opened the door, Nayeon was half-naked digging through her suitcases. Mina blushed a little, even though she was fairly used to this sight, and quickly closed the door. Something about the way the sun hit Nayeon's stomach. The girl wasn't ripped, but she was definitely toned.

"Minaaaa I want to wear my striped shirt but I can't find it," Nayeon pouted as she started looking in places the shirt definitely wasn't. Mina leaned over and quickly pulled it out.

"You have to have your eyes open to find things," she chuckled. Nayeon gave her a quick hug and kiss without thinking about it, put on her shirt, and ran downstairs, looking for the waffles. Mina sat there holding her cheek, wondering why it was affecting her like this. Maybe it's the east coast air.
