Gene grunted in effort as he climbed to rocky cliff side. Pulling himself up slightly panting saying, "The translation was either wrong or intentionally concealed the truth. There aren't five rings of power, but ten." He said gripping them tightly. "And whoever wields them gains mastery over creation itself."
"You don't know that for sure, Gene." Tony Stark's father said. "Bringing all ten rings together could have dire consequences."
"No one asked for your input from you Stark." Long hissed coldly.
With that Gene put on the five rings he collected as a blinding light expanded out. Stark shielding his eyes whilst Long watched. Once the light dispersed he moved his arm away looking at the Mandarin.
"So you keep saying, Stark. But if you don't help me on this quest," the Mandarin speaking in his usual ominous voice. "you'll never see your son again." He turned his back as Stark clenched his fist. "I am the last of the Khans, the rightful bearer of the rings. I am the Mandarin."
"I think we all knew that, master Gene Khan." The servant reptile responded dryly.
The Mandarin continuing as a light scanned the rocks until finding a symbol. "And I am getting close."
Time skip
"T... Tony!" Stark said, both Gene and Long turning to face him.
"What is it, old man?" Gene questioned.
"I just had a terrible feeling." He spoke with a hint of sadness. "Something happened to my son. Today's his... his birthday."
"Really what a coincidence it's mine to but unlike everyone else its just a painful reminder of my existence I had to deal with when serving my first master before the Mandarin." The makluan said almost... regretfully.
"He is far more resilient..." Gene's voice changed as he changed to the Mandarin becoming deeper. "...than you know. Believe me. And believe this: I must be the true Mandarin, for I have found another piece of my destiny!" With that he lifted up his ringed hand before blasting the side of the mountain and as the dust clear the temple was revealed. "Behold! The sixth Makluan temple!"
The makluan looked behind them and as he pressed a button his armour encased him and his eyes begun to glow white.
