The next day came quickly. More of Barron's minions arrived. And honestly, some surprised you. There were the usual white eyed weirdos. And then ymbrynes? Two of them Tracy Vulture and Sarah Pigeon. The two had apparently given up on their children and allowed them to be killed by hollows. And now they worked for Barron, giving him locations of loops and helping capture other ymbrynes. Though they only knew of one or two loop locations as most had already been moved and they didn't know where to.

Earlier today another loop was raided. Miss Sparrow was captured and her children were killed. She sat, chained in a room just as Miss Peregrine was. Someone else was in charge of keeping her injured but you were curious. So while everyone else was busy planing out a raid that would take place later in the afternoon, you snuck into the dimly lit room.

"Jocelyn Sparrow, is it?" A woman who looked to be in her late forties or early fifties sat in the far corner of the room. She looked up at you, fear pooled in her dark brown eyes.

"You're going to hurt me too, aren't you?" Her voice wavered as she tried to move further into the corner. "I don't have any information for you! I'm sorry.." She grew quiet as you knelt down in front of her.

"No, I don't plan to do you any harm. My name is Y/n, I'm Barron's daughter. Though I don't really approve of the whole experiment. You're the fourth ymbryne he's caught. Once he has ten he's going to start the experiment." You shook your head, looking at the floor. "I'm sorry he's doing this."

"W-who else does he have..?" You looked back up at her, she didn't seem as scared as before but she was still reasonably nervous.

"Mallory Kestrel, Jade Swallow, and Alma Peregrine." Her eyes widened at the last one.

"Miss Peregrine? H-her children! They came to my loop! They made it out! T-they're safe, all of them are safe. Y-you need to tell her, her children are a-alright. Please..." She kept stuttering, most definitely terrified. You nodded, standing up.

"I'll let her know." You stood up and walked across the room towards the door. "Goodbye. Stay alive." You left, headed straight for Miss Peregrine's room, you hadn't seen her since yesterday and you had to go back anyway.

You looked around, it was odd how quiet it was. Ever since more people arrived it'd gotten a lot louder. You sighed before entering the room Alma was kept in. She was sat on the floor, leaning against the far wall with her eyes closed. "I'm not telling you shit, you ass."

"Oh, well I had nothing to ask anyway." She looked up at the sound of your voice, a smile on her face when she saw you. "Well someone's sure happy to see me." You gave her a little smile in return, trying to hold back a grimace at the dark bruise on her cheek.

"You're the only one in the building who isn't a complete dick. Of course I'm happy." She rolled her eyes and her smile faded when she saw the frown that rested on your face, you were looking down at her leg.

"Who did this.?" You knelt down, lightly brushing your hand over the bandages that covered her right leg. You looked her over closely, trying to see if they'd done anything else. But of course they did. Her blazer had been ripped off and was now laying in a corner, out of her reach. Her white shirt was stained with drops of blood near the collar. And her once perfect hair was undone and tangled.

"I don't know who it was. Some man, a redhead. I'm fine though. I didn't give him any information." She winched as you reached up to her face. You cupped her bruised cheek in your hand, carful not to cause her anymore pain.

"Don't you lie to me, Alma." You stood up and walked over to her jacket, grabbing it before going back to sit next to her. You rested the jacket over the woman. "It's freezing in here." You set down next to her. "I'm sorry for what they've done to you. But I do have some good news." She looked over at you, tilting her head. What good news could come from any of this? "Your children, they're safe. Miss Sparrow was caught, but she told me they made it out."

The woman let out a sigh of relief and leaned her head back. "Oh thank the birds. I was so worried. Though that means he's captured another ymbryne..."

"He only needs six more for the experiment. We have more time"

"More time for what, exactly? To be tortured for information? To suffer, chained to the floor of a cold dark room? Oh perhaps to wallow in self pity knowing we'll never make it out of here alive. We're going to die here, Y/n. All hope is lost." She crossed her arms over her stomach and stared at the floor.

"No." You shook your head. "No, it's not. I'm not chained up. I could do something, help somehow." She looked over to you, concerned.

"Have you hit your head?"

"Uh, no." You rolled your eyes. "I could totally sabotage him! Maybe break you out of here! Destroy the machine. Blow something up! Oh, I have an idea in which only five random bystanders get hurt! It's called arson. Let's do that!" She opened her mouth, but said nothing, trying to think over how to respond to that.

Before she could answer you heard footsteps coming in the direction of the room. You grabbed the jacket off her and threw it to where it was earlier. "Act scared." You whispered as you stood up facing her, pulling your fist back just as the door opened. She looked genuinely terrified. Hell after you actually did punch her she probably was. You dropped your fist and turned towards the door.

"Oh, Y/n. Is this where you've been?" Mr Barron walked in, shutting the door behind him.

"Yeah, it's actually pretty fun, hurting her and watching her slowly lose hope." He chuckled a bit and walked over.

"It is indeed." He grinned as he kicked her in the side. She let out a small cry as your eyes widened and you held back a gasp of horror. Instead you forced a smile on your face as he turned to you. "Why don't you give it a try?"

"Oh, it's fine, I've been hurting her this entire time after all." You shrugged and waved him off.

"Nonsense. Come on, kick her." He stepped back and gestured for you to get closer. "How about right in the leg? It's already injured so it's bound to hurt a lot." You nodded and turned your back on him. You have her a short look of apology that he couldn't see before kicking her already injured leg. She let out a short scream and curled in on herself, bringing her legs to her chest.

"Have fun with her Y/n, I need to get going." He walked to the door and before leaving spoke to you. "Do whatever you want to her, so long as you don't kill her." You nodded and he left.

Once you were sure he was gone you rushed over to where she was crying softly and got on your knees next to her. You pulled the woman into a hug, carful not to hurt her any further. "I'm so, so sorry, Alma.." She hugged you back, crying into your chest.

"It's alright.." She said when she finally pulled her head back. "I'm fine." She gave you a small smile before leaning back into the hug.

The two of you stayed like that for what felt like hours she finally pulled away, leaning back into the wall like before. You stood up, once more retrieving her jacket before sitting down next to her. You placed it over her legs before putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. She smiled to you then closed her eyes, falling asleep soon after.

You sighed and stood up. Before leaving you whispered. "I'm going to get you out of here. If it's the last thing I do."

So how we feeling after that? I'm emotional but I dunno about you-
