"It's about my father. We escaped but him and his men are still out there. I doubt it will be long before he finds the loop hasn't closed. I don't want him hurting anyone else." She nods, starring at the floor.

"How many of them are there? I only ever saw a few whilst I was there. You must know."

"Right, well there's Barron of course. Two evil ymbrynes, and seven wights. And around five hollows, I never really knew when it came to them. Now I know if he heard this, he'd find a way to kill me. But I fear that the only way out of this, is ending Barron's life.." Alma tilted her head as she thought over what to say next.

"I believe you're correct on the matter. But however would we go about doing that? I don't wish to put anyone else in danger, and attempting to kill Mr Barron would do just that." She sighed, closing her eyes. "I think it'd be best if we talked with the other ymbrynes about this tomorrow." You glanced out the window but just nodded slowly. What if he figured it out by then? He's never liked waiting before attacking. He lost patience for that the first time he tried to catch Alma. "He won't find us. And if he does, I still own a crossbow. He won't get away with this a second time." She reassured you as she stood up. "Now come along. It's been a long day, and I for one am tired." You followed her up to her room where she gave you a nightgown and allowed you to change in the bathroom while she changed into a matching gown in her room. She really only owned navy blue clothes.

You said goodnight and went to sleep in the loveseat in the corner of the room while she laid in bed. Now of course you were tired, hall all you wanted to do was sleep. But you just couldn't. You swear you laid there for hours, tossing and turning, trying all sorts of different positions just trying to get comfortable. Eventually you let out a quiet groan and sat up, lightly hitting yourself in the side of the head, curing your brain for not letting you sleep. "Oh now why would you hit yourself?" Your eyes widened as you just now noticed Alma, sitting up in her bed with a smirk on her face.

"Because my brain is stupid, and won't let me sleep. And I'm very disappointed in it." You said, rolling your eyes, and smiling despite yourself.

"I can't sleep either." She said, and for a long moment it was silent. Though she soon moved over, making space, and patted the bed next to her. She just glared when you shook your head. "It's a lot more comfortable, you know." You sighed and stood up, walking over and face planting on the bed, your legs hanging off. You heard her laugh and smiled into the blankets, oh how you loved her laugh. You hadn't heard it until she'd gotten home, but now you couldn't get enough of it. It was truly music to your ears.

You sat up and moved to lay down next to where she still sat. She laid back down as well, facing away from you and muttering something about being cold. You moved a bit closer to her and wrapped your arms around her waist, pulling her closer to you. Her breath caught in her throat when she felt you press against her back. Though she soon relaxed, leaning into you as she finally fell asleep.

When you awoke the next morning you found that Alma was not only still asleep, but she'd flipped around in her sleep and was now facing you. Her face was hidden in your chest, and you smiled as you looked down at her. Why the hell do your cheeks feel so warm all of a sudden? The arm that'd been wrapped around you tightened a bit before she moved her head to look up at you. She quickly pulled away, sitting up and looking away from you. You, being the dumbass you are, thought you did something wrong. You sat up as well, moving closer and turning her head to make her look at you.

"Oh my, why are you so red?" You put the back of your hand to her forehead out of worry as her eyes widened. "And you're warm too. Are you feeling sick?"

"No I'm not- Y/n what the heck?" You gave her a confused look but she just sighed in response. The redness seemed to be fading away quickly. "You know what, never mind, it's not important." She smiled as she moved closer to pull you into a hug. You hugged her back, more than willing to let whatever just happened go. "Now, let's get ready for the day, alright?" You nodded and stood up, watching as she walked over to her closet and began looking through it. She then turned around to look you over before going back to rummaging through her clothes. "Alright, here we are!" She handed you and outfit and gestured for you to go and change in her bathroom.

You nodded and walked in, locking the door just in case before looking over what she'd given you. One of her white button up shirts that she wore every day and a pair of black pants. Woah, something that's not blue. You changed quickly, before leaving the room. Alma was buttoning up her shirt and was only about halfway done. She looked up at you, fighting back blush as she joked. "Ever hear of this thing called knocking?" You stood there, like a fucking idiot, just staring at her, eyes going from her face to the portion of her chest that revealed her bra. You'd never seen that much of her skin before as she was normally carful to cover up most of it. Eventually you finally talked some sense into yourself and turned around, by then she was already on the left button.

"Oh my bird, I-I am so sorry about that. I d-don't know what I was- oh geez..." You cut yourself off before you said anything stupid.

"It's alright, dear. You can turn back around again." You did so, only to see her pull on her jacket and begin buttoning that up, which was a thousand times less embarrassing to watch.

Well it was certainly a lot more embarrassing to write- Y/n is an absolute idiot
