The next day you sat on the edge of your bed watching Madison silently as she practised her magic, a slight smirk on your face as you inspected her face, so focused and determined on perfecting her craft. Your attention turns to your bottle of water on the table next to you as it floats in the air into Madison's hand, she looks at you with a smug grin and takes a sip.
Madison: Impressed?
Y/N: And slightly aroused but yeah, very impressed
She walks up to you throwing the water bottle on your bed and placing herself on your lap, you look her dead in the eyes smiling wide at your girlfriend, she returns a shy giggle and pecks your lips softly. There was a minute of a silence following as you stared down at the floor lost in thought and Madison looked at you with love in her eyes.
Madison: What you thinking about?
You look up to her, snapped back into focus.
Y/N: You...
Madison: No surprises there, you obsessing over me cupcake?
Y/N: Always...
She raises an eyebrow at your serious tone, a silent plea for you to explain.
Y/N: Sorry... I'm just kinda worried you know? I grew up being told about the seven wonders, about how dangerous they are, I just don't want you getting hurt
She places a soft hand on your cheek ensuring all your focus was on her face.
Madison: You don't need to be worried Y/N... I'm telling you I am the fucking Supreme, I thought you believed in me?
You scoot her from off you and stand up pacing a couple of steps before looking at her sat on the bed.
Y/N: I do! Of course I do, but drop the confident shtick for a second, we both know there's a chance... We both know you're in danger the second you start that competition and I'm not just gonna sit back and watch you kill yourself just so you can get off on a power trip-
The witch stood up quickly, offended.
Madison: I'm not doing it for a fucking power trip you dick I'm doing it because I know my destiny!
Y/N: But do you?!
You softened your tone, desperate to avoid an argument.
Y/N: Look, I just- I'm not saying you aren't the next supreme, I'm just scared ok? I can't lose you, not again...
Your girlfriend's eyes softened at your exposure of vulnerability and she rushed to hug you, wrapping her arms around your neck with tears brimming at the front of her eyes, you placed your hands on her hips, returning the embrace. You pulled your face back, looking at her.
Y/N: Just... For a second, pull back that queen bee shit and promise me you ain't going nowhere
She smiles lovingly in response.
Madison: I'll just show you, cupcake
At that moment she shoves her lips hungrily into yours and you return the action, moments later you're grabbing the back of her thighs and ushering her up into your grasp, she obliges and jumps up into your arms as you continue kissing.
More than an hour later you lie breathless next to your girlfriend, smiling wide at each other in an embrace, you place a hand on her cheek.
Y/N: On Sunday, you go complete those seven wonders and you rule this fucking coven... And we're gonna have some peace and quiet for once. I mean it, me and you are just gonna live happily ever after together once all this is over, you got that?
Madison: I hear you loud and clear, commander... That sounds perfect
You kiss her one more time with as much passion and fire as ever, before leaving the bed and getting dressed. You then exit the room and walk downstairs seeing Zoe in the living room practising her magic.
Y/N: How's it going?
Zoe: Better now I don't have to hear Zoe screaming like a banshee
She raises an eyebrow at you, amused by the awkward expression you produced in response.
Y/N: Oh... y-you could hear that?
Zoe: Y/N I'm pretty sure the surfers in California were thinking a whale had beached
Y/N: That's just a wonderful thought thanks for that Zoe... Seriously though is the whole practise thing going good?
Zoe: Yep, pretty sure I've mastered all the seven wonders, I'm gonna ace this thing
Y/N: Liking the confidence, listen obviously I'm rooting for Maddie but if you are the next supreme, I know you'll do a good job, just don't want you thinking I'm against you just because I'm with Madison
Zoe: I know Y/N, and thanks... I'm glad you came back the night of that party, I don't what would've happened by now without you
Y/N: I'm glad I came back too, I just hope after Sunday that everything works out
You don't say another word to each other as you exit the room, you walk to the garden out back and sit on a lawn chair, you pull out your cigarettes and a beer from the cooler next to you and look out over the city surrounding you, New Orleans will always be your favourite place in the world.
You take a sip of your beer and light a cigarette, lost in thought, behind you Cordelia exits the academy, you turn to see her smirking at your very presence, comforted even when she can't see you.
Cordelia: Didn't I tell you to stop smoking?
Y/N: You also told me to stay in school... I just don't think I'm one for listening
She laughs and sits in the lawn chair next to you grabbing her own beer from the cooler.
Cordelia: Can I have one please?
You laugh in slight surprise.
Y/N: Sure
You hand her a cigarette and light it for her. She takes a puff and places a hand over yours smiling contently.
Y/N: You as stressed out as I am?
Cordelia: You bet, this may just be the biggest day in this coven's history
Y/N: Well, here's to the future of the coven, and the peace that hopefully follows the Seven Wonders
You clink your beer to hers and return your gaze to the scenery. Once last moment of peace before the storm...
