You burst into the academy having driven back with Madison, you'd sped ahead of the rest of the coven unwilling to talk to anyone out of sheer frustration. As you entered you bound quickly up the stairs, intending on quickly getting dressed into more casual attire and heading out to clear your head, however as you reached the last step Madison called out from the bottom of the stairs.

Madison: I didn't kill her...

You stop dead in your tracks and remained silent, you knew she'd spill to you eventually, you just didn't want to interrupt before she let you know the details, however her proceeding silence invited questioning. And so as you strolled slowly back down to her you accepted the invitation.

Y/N: Then what did you do?

She looks up at you as you come face to face with her, she combines a look of guilt with one of worry, wary of your judgement. Eventually she answers.

Madison: I knocked her out... hit her in the head with a brick

She pauses for a few seconds as you let out an annoyed exhale before immediately going on the defence.

Madison: This is why I didn't tell you! I knew you'd just judge me

Y/N: Oh you knew I'd judge you? Sorry Maddie the next time you lick someone across the back of the head with a brick I'll make sure I find it nice and unproblematic... Why? Why the fuck did you knock her out? How did that thought even cross your fucking mind

Madison: I panicked ok?! I worried I wouldn't win the Seven Wonders so I took her out and originally I was just meant to convince her not to do it but she just wouldn't budge... So I clocked her and mind controlled these guys to put her in a cement coffin

You stare at the girl in shock, having halted your nervous pacing after taking in what the blonde had just said.

Y/N: Y-you buried her... Where, Maddie?

Madison: The cemeter-

Y/N: We were just right there...

You lock eyes with your girlfriend as the revelation hits you, almost like a brick.

Y/N: You buried her and went back to the same fucking place as if nothing happened?! That's sick Madison! That's fucking psychotic

Madison: Well that's just me Y/N! I'm a psycho. You've read the magazines, hell, you've seen me in action! You've had enough chances to have figured it out by now

Y/N: Yeah you're damn right I have... And I gave you the benefit of the doubt, I thought it was all bull, god was I wrong... So what now? Am I next?

She looks to you shocked and offended.

Madison: You think I could do that to you?

Y/N: You said it yourself, you're a psycho, one wrong move and I bet I could be buried right next to Misty

You look again at Madison and see tears in her eyes clearly horrified by your assumption, deep down you knew she'd never do anything to you but anger was blinding you and for once you didn't give a fuck about making her feel bad. After half a minute of silence you speak up again.

Y/N: I'm gonna go get dressed, and I'm gonna head out for a while, I can't look at you right now...

With that you walk up the stairs and enter your room, slipping on more casual clothing, five minutes later you head out the door, giving one glimpse to Madison in tears in the living room, with a slight hesitation you shut the door behind you and light a cigarette, wandering off into the evening.

A couple hours later the city was drowned in darkness, the evening had passed into night and you'd returned to the academy, a whole pack of cigarettes lighter then when you'd left. You were stressed and angry, exhausted from all the emotion of the day, your brief grudge with Madison was yet to subside and you weren't sure it would for a while, she'd betrayed every member of the coven and she'd betrayed you, as well as the trust you'd put in her, it was simple, she'd hurt you, and you aren't the over-dramatic type to create a needless problem, you knew you'd get over it, you just couldn't yet. As you entered the academy your mother approaches from the living room and looks to you relieved.
