Yao: I didn't mean to disturb or anything, I was just passing by and I thought I'd come check on you.

I looked at him, his coat doesn't seem very thick. Isn't he freezing out here?

?: Y-you wanted to check on me...?

Yao: well yes, arent you cold out here only in that coat and scarf?

?: I'm not effected by the cold much...

Yao: oh, I see. Well I'm glad your alright, I'll leave you alone now.

I started walking away

?: W-wait, cant you stay for a bit...?

I turned around and looked at him

Yao: I guess I could

I looked at him, he had a soft smile on his face, I kept staring at him

?: U-um-

I flinched and looked away

Yao: s-sorry I didn't mean to stare-

?: It's alright-

I glanced over at him and saw him tuck his face into his scarf, his eyes are so pretty... They are such a vibrant purple and his white hair is so pretty and looks so soft...

?: I-i don't think I've ever seen you around here before, are you new here?

Yao: um, yeah. I just moved here yesterday.

?: Where are you moving here from?

Yao: china.

?: Oh, how was it there?

I looked at the ground and tried to think of something.

Yao: ....horrible.

?: Could you say that again I couldn't hear you-

Yao: u-um. To be honest it wasn't very good... There's a lot of stuff I wish I could forget or change but unfortunately you have to live with everything that happens to you...

I looked out from the gazebo

?: I see, sorry for asking.

Yao: it's alright. There's no need for apologies when you've done nothing wrong.

?: Right- sorry.

I sighed a little and closed my eyes, it's so cold out here...

?: He-

Yao: I think I'm gonna go back inside. It's really cold out here

?: Oh, okay. See you then...

Yao: goodbye.

I waved bye to him before leaving to go back to my cabin. I suppose he was a nice guy, I didn't catch his name though, I'll come back tomorrow and see if he's there again. When I got back to the cabin I sat next to the heater in my room. I don't think I'm gonna be able to get used to the cold. It's almost unbearable....... I wonder how long that guy was standing at that gazebo for. In that outfit I hope it wasn't very long. I got up after awhile, shit I need to get food I forgot about that. I sighed and put on my boots again, I left the house and walked to the town. I'm glad I don't live very far from town but I do wish I lived closer. To be fair it was probably just me thinking I lived farther than I really did but it's so cold here!

When I made it to town I walked into the grocery store. Oh it's so warm in here, thank god.

?: Welcome!

Yao: 谢谢你 (thank you)

I looked at them and saw a confused look on their face

Yao: oh, my apologies. I said thank you.

I forgot not everyone is gonna understand Chinese...

?: Haha it's alright, I'm guessing your new here?

Yao: uh, yes

?: Welcome, it's nice to see new faces here. By the looks of it, you can't handle cold that well can you?

I looked at them as they gave a little chuckle

Yao: Yeah, it's a lot colder than I thought it would be, ha.

Kelsey: you get used to it eventually, or not. But I'm Kelsey. I'll leave you alone so you can get your food now

I gave her a slight nod and got groceries to last me a couple weeks. I waved bye to Kelsey and started walking home with my groceries

?: Excuse me, do you need help with your bags?
