In the morning, Jisoo woke up alone in an empty bed. For a while she just lay there, looking at the bright spring sun beating through the uncurtained window, and feeling how hard she was breathing in the room heated during the night. Edward did not stay with her because, according to him, "Emma may notice and tell her father that he did not sleep in the room." After sex, they lay around a little, drank half a bottle of champagne and dispersed, and Jisoo finished off the rest alone, because she couldn't sleep, and as a result, she woke up with a sore head and a slight nausea from a hangover. She didn't bring the pills with her, and that's why her bad mood only worsened. Looking in the large mirror at her crumpled reflection, at her slightly swollen eyelids and inflamed eyes, she wondered how she could live this day with such a migraine, but they did not let her indulge in her dreary thoughts for a long time, because there was a knock on the door. Kim threw on a robe and went to open it, hoping it wasn't Emma.
She was lucky. On the threshold stood an unfamiliar, middle-aged woman in a dark uniform dress as strict as Emma's and with a bunch of light curly hair on her head. Nodding dryly, she said in an impressive tone:
-Good morning, Miss, I hope I didn't wake you up.
-No.- Jisoo said a little confused and took a step back, but the woman was in no hurry to enter.
-I'm Mrs. Norris, the housekeeper. Mr. Kim asked me to tell you that breakfast is at ten in the morning, and asked you not to be late.
Ah, he sent a live alarm clock, Jisoo thought with sudden irritation, so he thought I wouldn't wake up after yesterday. She smiled sourly and nodded:
-I understand, tell him I'll be there soon.
-At ten o'clock in the blue drawing room.- She said and left with dignity. Jisoo shook her head and closed the door. The headache after the conversation only intensified. Interesting, if she ask these living robots for a pill, will they give it? Or are medicines in this house issued under the signature of the owner, as well as permission to photograph?
She suddenly felt a surge of such anger that even her head stopped hurting a little. I wonder if Jennie is coming for breakfast? And did she tell her father about yesterday's incident? Jisoo didn't really understand what kind of relationship Mr. Kim and his daughter had, but for some reason it seemed to her that they weren't particularly close. The very fact that Jennie lives separately said a lot, so maybe she didn't tell her father anything?
Jisoo took a shower, dried her hair with a hair dryer found in the closet yesterday, then put on short, ankle-length light yellow trousers, a blue shirt and carefully braided her hair. Then she made up a little brighter than usual and, looking at myself in the mirror, I was quite satisfied. Despite the throbbing headache in her temples, she looked good. She has to attend an appointment tonight, which means she needs to eat and find the damn pills, and then she'll be fine.
Going downstairs to the first of the many rooms located below, Jisoo found servants running back and forth there and Edward talking on the phone. He waved his hand in greeting, smiled and continued to discuss in a low voice something related to his friend Justin's trip to France. While waiting for him to finish, Jisoo walked to the open door to the garden and looked out. The day still promised to be beautiful: the sun was blazing, improbably white clouds were floating in the sky, and it seemed that the garden had transformed, became radiant and renewed, and the greenery of the lawns was incredibly bright, just like the eyes of Jennie Kim. Kim noticed that there were an unusually large number of people on the lawn: servants were bustling, taking out chairs, placing them near the far hedge, leaving the space in the middle empty. The table was being set in the gazebo, bringing boxes of drinks and glasses there, and Jisoo remembered that some famous fencing tournament was supposed to take place in the morning. Despite the painful impressions of yesterday, she became interested, and when Edward, having finished talking, called her, standing at the entrance to the living room, she asked, nodding at the lawn:
