The morning of Jisoo began with a loud, perhaps even annoying knock on the door. My God, she thought, lifting her aching head from the pillow, what kind of house is this? Why can't they leave me alone at least in the morning? Then Kim remembered that yesterday, saying goodbye to her at the door, Edward did not look very pleased with her words about going hunting alone, but both were too tired to argue, and therefore - she decided - it was he who came to convince her. Edward could be very pushy and determined when he didn't get what he wanted.

Angry and sleepy, Jisoo reluctantly got up, wrapped herself up to her shoulders in a blanket and, hastily smoothing her hair, trudged to the door, deciding that she would first express her dissatisfaction with Edward's early rise.

But it wasn't Edward.

Behind the opening door, the monumental figure of Mrs. Norris towered like an indestructible rock. She was standing very straight, her hands clasped behind her back, and her stone-hard face had the expression of a Buddhist monk deep in thought. Seeing her, Jisoo froze in amazement on the spot.

-Good morning, miss.- Mrs. Norris said impressively, not paying attention to Jisoo's sleepy appearance, nor to her disheveled hair sticking out in different directions, nor to her bare feet peeking out from under the blanket wrapped crookedly around her body.

-Morning.- Jisoo answered a little confused and looked out into the corridor. It must have been very early, because the house seemed to be asleep, but Mrs. Norris looked as if she had woken up many hours ago. Or she didn't go to bed at all, because robots don't sleep.

-May I come in?- Mrs. Norris looked questioningly at Jisoo, who nodded.

-Of course.

And she stepped back, letting the woman inside.

-I'm sorry I woke you up.- Mrs. Norris stopped in the middle of the room, three steps from the door that the girl had slammed.

-It's ok, it's probably time for me to get up...

Jisoo, still not understanding why the housekeeper could come to her, pulled up the edge of the blanket and wrapped her arms around herself. Under the woman's searching gaze, she felt uneasy, and she felt that she wanted to hide from this unforgiving penetrating gaze.

-I would also like to apologize for yesterday's incident with lunch.- Mrs. Norris said in an even voice, without taking her hard blue eyes off Jisoo.- I behaved unprofessionally and deeply regret it.

Kim's jaw literally dropped.

-Uhh...- That was all she answered, and Mrs. Norris continued unperturbed:

-I wouldn't want you to think this is about you personally, Miss. What happened was just my mistake, and I apologize. It won't happen again.

-Okay.- Jisoo said in confusion, looking at the stone face of the housekeeper, and clearing her throat, she added in a firmer voice.- Your apology is accepted.

-In that case, I'm leaving.- Mrs. Norris nodded, and she looked as if Kim had just apologized to her, and not the other way around.- By the way, breakfast will be in twenty minutes, but I can arrange for it to be brought to your room.

-No, no, I'll come.- Jichu said, opening the door for Mrs. Norris.

-Then have a nice day, miss.

And she sailed majestically out into the corridor, holding her head high, decorated with elaborately curled gray hair.

Jisoo, her mouth slightly open in surprise, froze in the doorway, looking at the straight back of the departing housekeeper. Then she caught herself, remembering that she was standing in one blanket, slammed the door and, still in a state of mild shock, sat down on the bed.
