The morning didn't start very brightly for the phoenixes.

Soon after Wei Ying woke up, Shen Yue examined him. In the room, Changze stood at the window waiting for the doctor to finish the examination, while Yanli sat on the other side of the bed trying to cheer her brother up. But with little success.

As soon as Shen Yue finished, she spoke.

"Wei Ying's condition has stabilized, his fever has disappeared and his power is functioning normally, Mr. Wei." said Shen Yue.

"I am glad to hear that. Now please go and examine young Lan dragon as well. As soon as you are done, you wait for me at my office."

"All right, Mr. Wei." said Shen Yue.

"Yanli, ... Please leave the room too. I'd like to talk to your brother."

Yanli got up from the bed without saying a word and left the room. She wanted to protest, but then, in that tense situation, she knew that doing so would only make her already nervous father even more angry. After Yanli left, Changze walked over to the bed and stood quietly.

"Well, I'm listening son. ... Tell me how you explain the fact that last night you not only disobeyed my orders, but then risked your own life?" asked Changze in as calm a voice as he could manage. But Wei Ying still felt his father's anger in his voice.

"I know I made a mistake, father. I forgot to discuss this with you, and for that I apologize. ...I just ..."

"You just, ... what? .. You just thought nothing would go wrong if you used your power unsupervised? Or did you think that if Lan Zhan was there for you, that he would know what to do, when you got a fever ..?" - asked Changze impatiently. - "You trust that much in the dragon boy who knows nothing about you?!" asked Changze, but louder this time.

"Yes, father! I do trust him!" Wei Ying spoke firmly to voice his feelings.

"But you shouldn't always have to, son! In 10 years everyone changes, even Lan Zhan. You just don't want to see it or accept it, but you' d better start. ... Nothing stays the same, and neither do we!"

Wei Ying sat back on the bed without a word.

Changze felt guilty for talking angrily to his son. His concern for his son took a bad form. But he knew that he had no choice but to tell Wei Ying in a firm tone that he must see the world more clearly and not be irresponsible again just because he was near Lan Zhan again.

Changze sighed wearily, then spoke again calmly to his son.

"I think we'd better continue this discussion later. .. I'll let you rest now, but I hope you won't leave the room today, right?" asked Changze.

''No. ...I won't." said Wei Ying. Although even he was not entirely sure of his own word at the time.
