Duet?

"Hey Hailee, what're you doing here?" I say while getting out of the booth. "I was in a session next door and I heard singing, I thought why not check it out." She said smiling.

"You sounded great by the way."
She could make me blush in an instant. "Thanks, I was giving a new beat a try. I'm glad you approve of it." She grinned at my comment. I looked back to the couch and saw two people sitting there. I make my way towards them. "Hey, I'm Y/N." Hailee smiled from the distance.

"Sup, I'm Griffin. Sick song." He said. "Thanks, Hailee's brother right?" He shook his head proud. "I've seen your cars, they're honestly so cool."

"Thanks, I can always take you for a spin." "Really that'd be awesome, I'll take you up on that." We talked some more before the girl on the couch introduced herself. "I'm True, Hailee's cousin." "Oh nice to meet you." I said smiling.

Hailee's POV:

Griffin and Y/N laughed and talked like they've known each other. I didn't notice at first but I caught myself staring at Y/N longer than I should have. I made my way to the couch to try and engage in conversation.

"You know I used to be a pro racer when I was younger too Griffin." Y/N said. "Oh really so not that long ago." Y/N and Griffin laughed, and god that laugh. "I'm 20 so no it wasn't that long ago but you get the point. Super Mario had me on a grip though" We laughed at her joke. "Well you should stick to this singing stuff though, you're really good at it." I interrupted. I gave her a faint smile, she returned with a smile of her own.

"Yeah well I'm trying to make something out of it. Scooter wants an album done. So hopefully when I get that done I'm classified as a singer." She said with a grin. "Well maybe one day we can collab and shock the world." Her eyes brightened with my response. "That'd be amazing, I actually have something that I've been working on." She scrapped a bunch of papers together before handing me one.

"I have this one in the works, take it home and let me know what you think." She said nervously. "I'll definitely take a look at it. Here let me give you my number" I grabbed her phone and put my contact in and looked towards Griffin and True who were grinning throughout mine and Y/N's interaction. "Okay well we better get going, good luck with the rest of your songs." I said. "Alright thanks for stopping by."

As we walk out of the studio I feel Griffin and Trues stare from behind. "What? Just say it?" They looked to each other and grinned. "You have a crush Hailee." Oh god. "Don't be ridiculous we literally conversated as any normal people would. "No you had a very prominent look towards her." Prominent look? "What's that supposed to mean?"

Griffin decided to join in, "Meaning you looked at her like she was the only person in the room." He smirked. "Don't be ridiculous, we're two artists trying to get to know each other." We continued walking to the parking garage.

"Well you wouldn't mind if I get to know her more than right?" Is she serious right now. I look at her as if she said something stupid. "What? She's hot, you can at least admit that right." She said smiling. "Knock yourself out True." Y/N wouldn't really go out with True right?

Y/N's POV:

I finally left the studio with Henry once I finished up the song.

"Would you like me to stop anywhere to eat before dropping you off home?" I was scrolling through my phone when he asked and my stomach began to growl. It would be nice to eat. "Sure I'd like to go grocery shopping too soon if you don't mind. I don't want to get in the habit of eating out."

"We can go first thing tomorrow morning before your studio session." Henry said. "That'd be perfect." I smiled. "So what will it be for right now?" Mmm, Mexican food should be good in LA.
