Chapter 19: The endgame

August 9th, 2022. 17:45 o'clock, UTC + 9, Japan time zone.

Marluru was still imprisoned, but Pega had escaped by hiding in Mad Gallant's shadow and subsequently entered Riku's shadow. During the whole day, Riku was worn out with his work of being a servant to Tartarus and his cohorts. But Riku wasn't yet to be deployed as a brainwashed Ultraman to assist Tartarus's conquest and the Spheres' universe domination goal.

"Riku!" Pega emerged from Riku's shadow as Riku lay on the floor of the laboratory completely exhausted.

Riku was still in a brainwashed state as Pega found him. Someone had to snap him out of this state, but nobody bothered to do that.

"Who's there? Where's Lord Tartarus?" Riku confusedly asked Pega.

"It's me. It's Pega. Don't you remember?" Pega patted Riku's face with both hands.

"Who?" Riku still stared at Pega in bewilderment.

"Have you forgotten? Don't you know Fukuide Kei has been resurrected?" Pega urged Riku.

"Fukuide Kei? Who?" Riku was still dumbfounded.

Pega: "Ultraman Belial's former subordinate. He's resurrected, and he's resurrected as a cyborg."

Before Riku could reply, he had a severe headache.

"Just a little more, and I'll turn you into another version of Ultraman Belial. And then, your power will destroy the universe." A voice rang in Riku's head.

Pega hugged Riku tightly to keep him from panicking.

"A fusion of Ultraman Trigger Dark, Ultraman Belial and Ultraman Tregear. The project will start soon. Get prepared for its birth. Once it has been manifested, it will be a very impactful event." The mysterious voice spoke to Riku.

"Absolute Tartarus?" Riku asked.

"I have placed a mark on you. You may leave this place alive, but I don't think your deep desires of attachment with me will fade away as long as this mark controls you. Let me tell you where I place my mark on your body. It is on the end of your spinal cord. If anyone try to remove it from you, you will be in immense pain. Nothing will make you blissful, except for you being my humble slave. Nobody will give you pleasure, except for me and the servants under my rule. Happiness is only obtained from me and through me only. Every inch of flesh on your body and every thought of your mind will be mine. If you dare to defy me, I shall tear your body and soul into shreds." Absolute Tartarus said to Riku with telepathy.

Riku suddenly convulsed in front of Pega's eyes and groaned loudly as his body heated up. His toes and fingers ached badly because of excessive muscle stretching. He felt a surge of pressure running through his body and his organs started to twitch themselves with discomfort.

"Surrender to me. Become my obedient slave." Tartarus's voice screeched inside Riku's head.

"Riku..." Pega was worried.

"Now you have seen the truth, little Pegassa boy. When the inner evil of the Ultraman arises, he will be corrupted. Look at Ultraman Trigger, he has a past connected to the Giants of Darkness as a former Giant of Darkness himself. Look at Ultraman Geed, he is the son of the evil Ultraman Belial and contains the evils inherited from him. All the Ultras will fall before us, The Kingdom of the Absolutes. Every single living being of the inferior worlds shall bow their heads to us and worship us as gods." Tartarus spoke to Pega from Riku's body.

"What have you done to Riku?" Pega asked.

"Don't you know I have the abilities of mind control and telepathy? You have seen my powers displayed in front of your eyes. If you want to know where Marluru is, you should listen to me closely. Marluru is..." Tartarus continued.
