broken promises

The euphoria Molly had when she woke up the morning after the party had disintegrated by the next morning. And the morning after that, followed by the one after that. Let's just say, she was down again.

The low of lows.

She wasn't just depressed, she was furious. She could barely look at her sister. Rory had been at the top of her shit list alongside Emily and Charlie Sheen. Yeah, she was that upset.

She hadn't been home much either, every night calling her mom to say she was at Izzy's, hanging up before the woman could complain. Not that Lorelai was going to, she was giving Molly time to cool off. Not realizing Molly had been staying at Beau's for the last few days, Ashley having been at Izzy's.

Staying with Beau had its perks, all she had to do was smoke as much weed as humanly possible and try to beat him in Mario Kart. Beau didn't mind the company, he'd adored Molly, as a brother would a sister.

"My parents get back tonight." Beau stated, sat beside Molly at the kitchen island, stuffing his mouth full of froot loops.

Molly sighed, "assuming that means I'll have to go home?"

"Yeah.. but you could still come over whenever!" He assured her, "they just wouldn't appreciate me having a girl stay the night, even when she's staying in the guest room." He took another bite before setting his bowl aside.

The lighter that sat permanently in his pocket was pulled out, mouth turning upwards as he flicked it in.

"I'll get my stuff after school." She said, taking her last bite of the peanut butter toast. "Wyatt will be here in a—"

"I come baring coffee and donuts!" The door was kicked open, Wyatt holding one coffee and a bag of donuts from the diner.

Lastly, there was her and Wyatt. Something that they hadn't quite figured out. They had continued to act as themselves, though, occasionally there was a shared kiss between them. Nothing more though, they hadn't had much time to talk.

Between baseball starting up and Molly avoiding her sister at all costs, including going to the diner; they simply had no time.

"Just in time!" Beau held up the joint, which he was preparing to light.

Wyatt set down the bag, giving Molly the coffee and a kiss on the forehead as he sat beside her. He watched closely as Beau took a hit, passing it to the girl between them. Wyatt sat down, moving the stool closer until he was directly behind Molly, his arms wrapping around her waist as his chin rested on her shoulder.

She took a hit, her head leaning back onto the blond to offer him the joint in which he declined. Both parties stared at him suspiciously.

"I gotta focus today, there's a test coming up in biology and I've already failed two quizzes and—"
