The town of Stars Hollow hadn't always bored the youngest of the Gilmores, but as she grew older, living by the same routine with the same people; she got frustrated. Every day she had woken up, walked to Lukes Diner and greeted the same odd charactered townspeople on her way. Not that Miss Patty or Kirk hadn't always brightened her mornings with their backhanded compliments or whatever strange dream they'd had the night before—it just didn't seem to be enough anymore.
That's when Molly and her childhood best friends, Wyatt and Izzy had decided they'd make their routines a bit more exciting. Whether it be sabotaging Taylor Doose's newest tourist attraction or sharing a joint in the town square at two in the morning and raiding Luke's kitchen. It was better than nothing, they were sixteen year old kids, a little bit of fun wouldn't hurt anyone—even if Taylor claimed it would.
Molly had begun her usual morning skate from her home, down the streets of Stars Hollow, ignoring the many 'no skateboarding' sign's Taylor had put up in spite of her. Her walk-man stuck from her sweatshirt pocket, blasting the most recent mixtape Wyatt had made her. Like most days, she'd left the house before her mother and sister, wanting to get the first cup of freshly made coffee.
Nearing the small diner, she pushed her headphones around her neck and kicked off of her board, tucking it under her arm and pushing open the door with a smile. Luke's diner had been her favorite place in all of Stars Hollow, she'd spent more nights in the kitchen making pancakes with Wyatt than she had in her own room. It was practically her second home, which served the best coffee and had the grumpiest of owners.
The bell that hung over the door rang, announcing her arrival to the two Danes males and few customers. Molly was quick to hide her board behind one of the customers chairs, knowing Luke would yell at her for bringing it inside. When she got up to the counter, taking a seat at one of the many bar stools, she was handed a full cup of coffee without having asked.
"Ah, Luke you know me so well." Molly grinned, taking several packets of sugar from the container sat on the counter. Luke watched her with disgust as she dumped the packets into the full mug.
"You have a problem." Luke told her, grimacing as she stirred around the six sugars.
"I know." Molly mumbled, taking the mug into both her hands, allowing the heat to warm them as she took a long drink. "Mm, incredible! Now, where's your son?" She asked, setting down the cup when she realized she had yet to be greeted by the blonde teen. Luke pointed up at her question, answering her without words and she rolled her eyes.
"Watch my coffee." She said, giving him a stern stare and spinning out of the stool to run up the stairs to the loft. Molly hadn't bothered to knock, swinging open the door leading into Wyatt's cluttered room across from the apartment. Kicking her way through the piles of clothing and old records, she got to his bed, hearing soft snores coming from beneath the comforter.
