The 2 times Timo almost told you he loved you, and the one time he did

1.

It was the 2nd month of y/n and Timo's relationship and they were at a banquet for the sharks.

Y/n was talking to Thomas Bordeleau about his tattoos because she was a tattoo artist, and when Timo looked over and saw them, his heart swelled.

He wasn't jealous at all, if anything he was in love. Something about his girlfriend talking to one of the rookies just made him happy.

The smile on her face was enough to have him go over there to see her.

"Hey baby, whatcha doin?"

He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you against his chest.

"I'm trying to talk Bordy into letting me do his next tattoo!"

"Well, technically you're trying to talk me into getting danny devito written on my knee, but instead of it being regularly spelled, you want it to actually have knee in there."

"I think it would be funny!"

All Timo could do was just look at his girlfriend with complete adoration. He loves her.

2.

Timo was freaking out, asking Olive so many questions about what type of food she liked the most so he can make the date perfect.

He knew that you absolutely dreamed of having a picnic under the stars, and he wanted to make that happen.

It was 7:30, just before the sun set, when Timo came and picked you up.

You had absolutely no clue where he was taking you.

"Shhh it's a surprise, stop worrying about it. I promise you'll love it!"

"Ok ok, I won't bug you anymore. Pinky promise."

The drive was short, a good 20 minutes before Timo pulled into an empty field.

"I swear to god if you kill me Timo Meier if you kill me, Olive will hunt you down and chop your dic-"

"Baby I'm not gonna kill you, we're here to have a picnic under the stars like you wanted. Come on, everything's already in the back of the truck."

Timo got out of the truck before rushing over to open your door and you booth made your way to the back of his truck.

When he opened the tailgate it was perfect, blankets and pillows in it, with a big basket of food in the middle.

"Oh T, it's absolutely perfect."

You wrapped your arms around Timo for a big hug.

"I knew you would like it. See now I just have to lead you to a secluded spot and then I can hide your bo-"

"TIMOOO" you cut him off laughing.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding, or am I"

"You better be!"

The rest of the night went perfect, eating, talking, and laughing about everything. Then it eventually got to a comfortable silence as you both just held each other and watched the stars.

"Hey y/n, do you think we should head back home?"

He turned to look at you, but you were asleep. Cuddled up to him.

"God you're so perfect." He kissed your forehead.

That night he thought it was going to be the perfect night to tell you he loves you. Maybe another time.

He knew he loved you.

3.

It was your first Christmas morning together. Like any other couple, the two of you would exchange the small gifts you got each other and just went on with your day.

The two of you decided to go to your parents house for the holiday, and spend dinner with them before going home that night.

Timo was very nervous, this was his first time meeting your parents. He had heard stories of his teammates meeting their girlfriends dads and he didn't want to mess up.

He was nervously fixing his tie in the mirror, and it just wouldn't work for him.

"Here baby, let me help you."

You fixed his tie, turning and looping the fabric in all different directions before it finally looked perfect.

You sensed his nervousness as he turned away, his shoulders stiff.

"T, you're going to be fine. They'll love you."

"It's not that I'm worried about, well it is, but I'm worried about your dad. I want him to like me."

"Oh he'll like you. It's my mom you have to worry about!"

"Not helping!"

You just laughed before walking out of the bathroom to get your jewelry on.

At your parents house, Timo's nerves seemed to quiet down. He got along with your whole family, even your siblings who were hard asses and didn't care for new people.

During dinner, you started to worry because the snow was falling harder than ever.

Would you have to stay here?

Your question was answered about an hour later when the snow was so bad you couldn't even step out the front door without being mauled with snow.

You pulled Timo aside in the kitchen and told him that you guys were staying here.

He just looked at you with wide eyes before looking down at himself.

"Am I going to have to sleep in this, orrrr?"

"I hope not, I think my dad has stuff that'll fit you, and if anything, just sleep naked. That's always a good sight."

"Y/nnnn no jokes now. I don't want to sleep naked after seeing your family for the first time."
Timo said, as his face flushed red at your comment.

"It's fine, I'll get clothes for you, don't worry."

You two ended up being just fine, and curled up in your childhood bed. Very cozy if I do say so myself.

A comfortable silence between the two of you filled the room, while a Christmas movie played in the background.

Timo broke the silence, telling you, "Thank you for making me distracted at that game. I wouldn't be where I am today. You're so amazing and I just can't imagine how life would be if I didn't see your perfect mug staring at me from the glass."

Almost brought to tears by his words, you turned to hug him.

"Anything for you Timo. I hope you liked meeting my family. They really, really like you. I knew you would be just fine."

"I know we haven't said this, and I wanted to wait until the perfect moment before telling you and I feel like this is it. I love you y/n. I have since you talked to Bordy about his tattoos. God, just the way you see everyone around you as equal, and you never put yourself above everyone. I just love you so much."

"I love you too T. I love you too. Forever and always."

A/n: ok, so I wanted this to be an imagine that you could read by itself, and as a part two if that makes any sense. Anyways, thank you for requesting it, and I hope you liked it. 💕
