"Hey Nick over here!" Pete said waving his hand. They decided to go on a arcade date, specifically one that wasn't attached to Freddy's. Nick happily walked over to Pete. Nicks eye was bruised on the left side but luckily his hair was long enough to hide it. "Hey Peter what are we going to do today." Nick said while giving Pete a big hug. "Oh I don't know Nicholas maybe we can play the arcade games." They both laughed at each other's sarcasm. The two very competitive boys were the loudest ones in there it seemed. Even for spring break there wasn't many people in the arcade. They spent the whole day there laughing, drinking very sugary sodas, and eating the snacks they served there. After the arcade (totally didn't get kick out for being to loud) they decided to go to the skating rink because they had extra time to spend.
Nick obviously showed off his cool skating tricks while Pete was struggling to move. Nick would of went off with out him but he decided to hold Pete's hand and help him out. Nick didn't care if people stared at them, if they asked he would just say he was helping. Which he was but also he just wanted to hold Pete's hand.

After night was taking over the sky, they walked out of the skating rink. Their faces hurt from laughing and smiling all day. Pete decided to go with Nick to drop him off "safely" even though they were both on separate bikes and do this all the time, but Nick didn't mind.
The yellow porch light on Nicks house was dim. Both the boys stand in Nicks drive way talking about how such a great day it was. Nick's dad's car was in the driveway but Nick thought he was asleep so he wouldn't know Nick was still out.
Pete and Nick stared at each other and Pete asked "can we kiss goodbye like the movies." Pete made a kissing sound trying to play it off as a joke. Nick rolled his eyes but smiled, "Only if you stop making that dumb face." Nick sticked out his tongue but looked at him with his Rosie cheeks. Not long after Pete leaned in and Nick followed. Their lips connected then a squeaky sound came from behind Nick. Nick pulled away and turned over to see his dad standing in the door way. His face went white as a ghost and his eyes wide. "Sorry Pete I have to go." Nick said turning back not looking at him, and walked inside.
