i parked in the space of the empty parking lot and got out of the car and walked to delilah's side. i wasn't nervous about this date because i knew she was going to say yes and that she just wanted to me to take her out first before saying yes.

my beautiful girl stepped out of the car, my hand in hers as her heels clicked against the concrete. i closed the door and rested my hand on her hip as we walked to the entrance of the five star restaurant. i could see delilah gawking at the place and it made me chuckle.

she's so cute.

we walked to the man at the entrance and he looked at us.

"good day, reservation or order in?"

"reservation." i said.

"name?"

"lindsay."

he flipped a couple pages and then hummed.

"right this way, miss lindsay." another male said as he stepped out of no where and led us to the table that i reserved.

"a waitress will be here in 5 minutes to take the appetizer." delilah thanked him.

he left and i pulled out the chair for her and pushed it in.

i sat down and it took her a moment to take up the menu.

"this place is beautiful, man." delilah says and took up the menu.

"you are beautiful."

she laughed and looked at me.

"you're corny."

"me? corny? only for you." i teased and delilah smiled widely.

her eyes scanned over the menu and i took my time to look at her beautiful face. delilah's lips were naturally plumpy and soft. her bottom lip pinker than the top lip and her nose sitting perfectly above her mouth. a mole lays underneath her nose, it was small yet noticable if you're really looking.

"you're staring." i saw her cheeks turned red as she kept looking at the menu, her hair falling over her shoulder and blocking her face to hide her blush.

"im admiring." i corrected.

before she could respond, a waitress came to our table and she asked what we would like for the appetizer.

"four cheese garlic bread, please." delilah ordered, closing the menu.

the waitress wrote it down.

"and for you, miss?"

"cream cheese fruit dip." i ordered and glanced at delilah when i saw her shifted in her seat and started playing with her fingers.

she always do that whenever she wants to say something or she's nervous. in this case, it can be either one.

after the waitress left, i turned to her and took her hands in mine, rubbing my thumbs over her index fingers in a comforting manner.

"what's wrong?" i asked in concern.

"n-nothing." she blushes and i raised my eyebrows in questioning.

"babygirl."

"it's nothing, i swear."

i narrowed my eyes at her and she fidgeted again, glancing up at me, biting her lip and then down at the white tablecloth.

"delilah." i said sternly.

she huffed and i continued to rub my thumb over her fingers.

"it's just that— you're so— you're —" she stumbled over her words as she spoke, making me chuckle.

"take your time, baby, and say it slowly."

delilah nodded and took a deep breath.

"you're looking hot right now." she rushed out.

"mhm?" i urged her to go on.

"a-and i feel the u-urge to jump you." she started blushing furiously and my jaw dropped slightly at how bold that was coming from delilah.

i then smirked.

"you can. when we get home." i promised.

"nooo." she whines, "im not going to."

"and why not?"

"this energy is all going to be gone and im going to feel shy again."

i laughed and shook my head.

this girl, i swear.
