before delilah died
-
vincent waited patiently for a call from elliot as it hit the week 3 make for him to get his money. elliot didn't pay him last week so he decided to play nice and give him more time. that time was now over and vincent was getting impatient.
he didn't have any contact with elliot but in no little time, he could have his cell and work place.
with that thought in mind, he got up from his living room and went to snatch his laptop to begin his search on elliot belle. within a minute or two, he had his block and apartment number. elliot sadly didn't have a phone number so vincent would have to leave the comfort of his home to go and watch out for elliot from work.
-
the man hummed as he entered his house, nodding his head to an old song that he remembered out of the blue. using his key to pull the door, he pushed it open and turned on the light, the bright source illuminating the room.
"my man, elliot." vincent rasps out from the couch and elliot froze.
scared that no one would see what was about to happen - if something happens, he closed the door and leaned against it.
"vincent. what are you doing here?" the man asked with a slight shake in his tone.
"oh, i just came for a visit." vincent smiled and used the straw to stir the whiskey he found in the cupboard and decided to treat himself to it.
elliot nodded slowly. he knows its about the money that he owes.
"i'll start paying soon, man. i haven't gotten any pay and-" he was cut off from his sentence when vincent held up a stack of cash.
"lying now, are we?"
elliot began to panic. his plan that he had created was failing and failing miserably. he was supposed to save and then move out of the country, change his name and identity and start a new life. his mind ran on his daughter's a few times but that was it. his plan wasn't going to stop because of his daughter that'd be happier without him and way happier with that girl.
"i swear it isn't what it looks like." he tried to reason.
"dear delilah," vincent glanced up at him from a letter that was resting beside him, "i'm so sorry for the way things have turned out and for how they ended. it was never in my intention to drag you into all of this mess- should i go on?" vincent stopped, "this letter gives off your whole plan to me and to think that you were running, elliot. man, i thought you were smarter than that."
vincent got up from the couch and walked to elliot slowly. his back pressed against the door, his fingers tightening around the knob.
"you of all people should know better than this, elliot belle. you should know better than to run. you have no one except that daughter of yours." elliot's stomach dropped when he spoke about delilah, "it would be a pity to kill her for your own mistakes."
"no! you can't do that." elliot said and vincent gave an evil smirk.
"i have targets on her right now. i hired assassins to kill her on sight when they see her but that's not going well since she stays inside and they cannot get on anabelle's property." vincent pouted, "so guess what i did? i hired an inside man."
elliot looked at vincent in horror and shook his head rapidly.
"i won't leave. just take the targets off of her, i'll pay you. take that money that you have and consider that as a pay down." elliot said desperately. when it came to his little girl, he would always have a soft spot for her and that could make anyone have him on his knees as long as it was about delilah.
-
over the past month, elliot has been paying little little and everything was going right and okay until he decided that it was time for plan b. with the $3000 that he had, he decided to fly out. plan b - fly out of the country and warn delilah again about vincent.
when vincent found out, he was enraged and set the targets back on her. when he heard the news that delilah was going to the lindsay's mansion, he was delighted. he wanted elliot to lose everything. not only because he owed him for over 2 years but it is long overdue and any other person would've been dead within the first month that they didn't pay him.
"boss, target's insight." vincent heard through his earpiece.
he smirked.
"good," he said, "make sure to shoot to kill. if she lives, i'm going to have your head, demarco."
-
so basically, the reason why she's dead is because of her father, elliot and his debts. vincent wanted to ruin elliot's life so he killed delilah. when elliot finds out, he was devastated because he knew that he caused this. that wasn't apart of his big plan to get his daughter killed. elliot wanted her to have a bright future and live out her goals but that didn't work out well.
he has no one else to lose so he doesn't see why it would be worth it to pay vincent now.
andddd i am sorry (not) for killing delilah. yes, she was a beautiful soul, kind and amazing. anabelle loved her so much but love doesn't lasts, you know? mhm.
there won't be an extra chapter (maybe one and that'll be how anabelle is coping. i won't write delilah's funeral).
