I remembered when Blue was reading his Bible and talking about the unclean animals which the Lord forbid Israel from having any contact with them. I finally understood why he said that it might be useful to me one way or another. The zombies couldn't infect me because of how the genes in my blood reacted to the virus within them. I was that 'unclean animal' which their instincts forbid them from infecting me. I already had a hunch that my blood played some vital role for the cure. Perhaps that was what Wallace wanted to tell me before getting mutated into a Meta Animan. The only issue was the fact that I lacked the necessary materials to formulate the cure, and now not only does Peter has it, but he also planned to suck out as much blood as he needed.

I slowly woke up in a white room and found myself strapped firmly to a chair. There was a small brief case on the table few meters from my feet which contained five blood bags. I saw Ananias collecting another blood bag from Freddy who had finished drawing out the blood from my body. By this time I was slowly starting to feel dizzy.

"How many?", asked Peter as he entered the room.

"Six. That's more than enough for now. Any more will leave him in a bad shape", Freddy replied while taking off his gloves.

"Good, very good. Now get these to the others and start making it", ordered Peter.

Before Ananias and Freddy left, I managed to voice out to Ananias, "Why Ananias? Why would you betray me?".

He paused, stood for a moment, and then stared at me with such hatred that it radiated more than Musa had ever done to me. He then slowly dropped the briefcase and replied coldly, "If not for the grace of Sir Peter here, thy soul would already be rotting in Hell, begging for mercy to the people thou have slain". He paused for a moment, tightened his fists, and continued with a tear escaping his left eye, "Including my family".

"Don't worry Ananias. After we're able to get what we need, he's all yours", said Peter as he patted Ananias on the back. The latter nodded and left with Freddy, leaving Peter and I alone in the room.

"What... did you do to them?", I asked while breathing faintly.

"Huh? You mean your mother and my adopted child? Well they're in a nice place. You know, Lucy cared about you a lot while Rosemary wanted to meet you since Lucy always talked about you. She missed you, but you returned that feeling with hate. I just didn't know why she would still obsess herself with you, a foolish child who showed no love for his mother. I knew they would get in the way, so I had no choice but to do what I had to do".

I sighed and struggled weakly to break free, making Peter smirk and continue, "Wonder why Ananias hates you? He told me that his whole family; wife, children, and relatives, were all devoured alive by maneaters while he hid and watched in horror. He could never forgive himself that day and swore vengeance against the ones responsible for the plague, which just so happens to be you".

He rested on the table and sighed while folding his arms, "Dunno what the hell you and your father did but we also believe that the cure can also heal injures and make one resistant to the virus, like you precisely. Anyway it doesn't matters as these are just speculations. Of course we'll have to test it on your wife to see if they'll work, and whether they do or not, we'll bring her here and make you watch her die".

My blood spark when I heard those words. I struggled and stared at him with murderous intent. "Leave her out of this!", I yelled at the top of my lungs, "It's me you want, not her!".

"Nah. I just want you to know what it feels like to lose the people you've loved", he replied with an evil grin, "Isn't it better to feel what others feel Joe? You robbed them of their loved ones, now it's time for you to suffer the same fate".
