(Lilith Really Wants To Go To This)

Warped tour is a music tour over the summer with a lot of different bands and stuff to buy and do.

These tips are aimed towards the American Warped Tour (they have it in Britain now too I think) but these tips will probably come in handy for the British Warped Tour as Well!

What To Wear;

-Comfy shoes. You will probably be on your feet almost all of the day, and you will be walking a lot. You don't have to wear Vans, although they are the perfect type of shoes to wear, you can also wear shoes like converse or any sneakers. DO NOT, /DO NOT/ WEAR SANDALS, ESPECIALLY FLIP FLOPS.

-A light top. I wore a bandeau and a really baggy tank top. I would suggest wearing a tank top with a bandeau or bikini top underneath or just a t-shirt you like.

-Shorts! You can wear jeans but really shorts are best. It is SO hot out there and you will be glad you wore shorts. Denim shorts, running shorts, any kind. They don't have to be really short and tiny. Do NOT wear a skirt or a dress.

-Sunglasses and a hat! I broke my sunglasses but I got a free baseball hat and sunglasses there. Sunglasses are a must though.

-Don't wear too much makeup, you'll sweat it off and look like a mess.

-Don't try to dress "cute" or "sexy". Seriously. There were these girls there that were wearing shorts and just a bikini top covered in rhinestones with sparkly uggs. It's not girly it's not cute, it just looked ridiculous.

-the most important thing you can wear IS SUNSCREEN. SERIOUSLY I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. EVEN IF YOU "DON'T BURN" WEAR IT AND BRING IT. I put some on in the morning and kept applying it all day and I still had a bad sunburn.

-Also be careful or wearing anything spiky or studded because some venues don't allow it for safety reasons

What to Bring;

-Your ticket!!

- Cash! A lot of it if you're planning on buying anything. Water is $3 a bottle but you can bring your own, food is more, then you need money for all the merch you want! I brought $100, didn't buy any food or water with it, and spent it all.

- A Backpack is a must. Don't bring a huge one, it can be just a drawsting one but you need something to carry your stuff so when you go to a set you're not jumping around holding water bottles your phone and merch.

-Sunglasses/Sunscreen.

-A snack

-A water bottle, I brought a water bottle then an empty water bottle. I didn't buy any water all day because I just refilled up my water bottle and my back up water bottle at the water filling station.

-A camera, but not an expensive one. It will get tossed around a bit and it might get wet, so bring a disposable one or one that isn't that good. Do not bring a dSLR!

-A Sharpie and stuff you want to get signed

-Your phone (CHARGED!)

Make sure to...

-Check to see when the bands you want to see are playing and make sure you make a schedule.

-Check on twitter or on signs to see if the band you like is going to have a signing

-Get there early! Lines to get in can be and probably will be long

-Get to the stage early

-DRINK WATER! Even if you're not thirsty drink it!!

-Rest if you need to

-Apply sunscreen

-Eat

-Walk around and buy merch and get free stuff!

-Watch out for crowd surfers

DON'T-

-Let crowd surfers fall or let people get trampled in the pit, if they fall help them up!

-Make fun of people or start fights with people that like a band you don't

-Go in the pit if you aren't comfortable with it

-Complain when you get pushed. If you're in the pit then you're going to get pushed and you'll have to deal with it. If you don't want to get pushed then don't go in the pit.

FAQ;

Is there alcohol?

-Yes there is beer but you have to be 21 or over to drink, as usual.

Are there drugs?

-I've only come across people smoking weed at warped tour. But yes there can be. Just ignore it and don't get involved.

Is it safe?

-There are always risks at concerts, especially outdoor ones but there are lots of security, lots of cops, and a medical tent. It is safe.
