Fly On The Wall

If I was a fly on the wall,

would I want to hear the things they say?

Would I want to notice all the looks they share when I can't see?

They think I don't know,

They think I don't care.

Unless it's convenient,

They don't think at all.

Have you ever wondered,

"What hurts more?"

Either way you suffer;which is the lesser of the two evils?

"What's your idea of a family?"

"What's your definition of happy?"

"How can you put the two together?"

How can you answer when you don't know?

Your version is on the bottom of the pole,

Where as those around you

Rise above you on the totem.

"Don't you love them? Appreciate them?"

Of course.

Does that mean they're good for you?

Does that mean they deserve a spot in your life?

Hell no.
