"I'll never be the same if we ever meet again. Won't let you get away if we ever meet again."

If We Ever Meet Again by Katy Perry ft. Timbaland

Carmen's POV

He remembers. I. Am. Fucked.

He drew back and smirked at me knowingly. That bastard. I gulped and stood up looking down at my friends.

"I need to go. See you later." I said in a monotoned voice and took off, ignoring Harry's gaze.

Passing through random people in the corridors, I finally reached the empty football field. The truth why I left was because of Harry and the fact that he could tell my friends what a horrible thing I did back then.

There's a reason why I moved here in the first place and its because of my reputation there and I don't want that to happen to me again. My reputation here is clean, stable and fine.

It was horrible there in Chicago, the people were judgmental and backstabbers. While here, they were nice and comforting. I fished my lighter and cigarette pack out of my pocket.

I smoke but only when I'm stressed or there's something bothering me. Right now its both of them.

Slowly, I lit my cigar and smoked. I puffed the air in my mouth and smoked some more. I sat down on the grass and looked at the sky. I heard footsteps approaching me, Harry sat beside me.

"Can I have one?"

I gave him one and lit his with my favorite green lighter. We smoked til I finished mine, not giving a damn about that irritating school bell ring.

"Why'd you leave?" He asked, taking his smoke.

"Forcing history to not repeat itself." I stated and played with the ends of my white shirt.

In the corner of my eye I could see him frown. "What do you mean?"

I sighed and faced him. "Harry, I don't want my friends to know what happened between us in that party." I paused. "My reputation here will be affected and I don't want anyone judging me."

He had finished his cigar and stepped on it. "I wasn't going to tell them. That's just a dumb move." He shook his head, curls falling down at his sides.

"You won't? Promise me you won't."

He took my hand in his and gripped them tightly. "I promise now relax, love."

"Thanks. How did you find me anyway?"

He grinned. Dimples showing and all. "Zayn. He said you cut classes here and also your favorite place in here."

I nodded. "So are we friends? Forget about that incident?"

He ran his thumb over my hand. I felt dizzy and over the world all so sudden. Hold it, Carmen!

"We're friends. Let's just remember to forget that time where you made me come." He teased and I blushed in embarrassment.

"Harry!" I smacked his shoulder and he laughed at my tomato red cheeks.

* * *

Harry and I decided to skip classes all through out the day and ditch out detention just to spend some time with each other. I honestly think I fancy him even though I know that he thinks Louis is hot.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked, standing up from the ground and cleaned his pants, ridding pieces of grass.

We've been in the field for three hours now and Louis' team will practice soon so we better leave.

"Wanna go to Midnight Memories?" I asked, referring to the all ages club just a few blocks away.

He scrunched his eyebrows together. "What's that?"

"It's a club."

He checked his iPhone. "You wanna go clubbing at 4 in the afternoon?" He insulted my idea with a simper.

"Fine, smarty pants. Later then, after the match." Crossing my arms across my chest. Standing up to meet his height but failing since he's taller than me.

"Deal. Now let's go to the bleachers, the teams are warming up." Looking at the field that's now occupied by the opponent and our team.

I agreed and sat where the view was pleasant, passing time by talking about random stuff such as who has a bigger bum, J-Lo or Nicki Minaj?

Sooner or later the field's perimeter lights turned on and the bleachers were filling up. Geo was in her cheer leading clad along with Elle, waving their pompoms in the air.

Liam sat with Zayn somewhere in the back. The game was now starting and the team captain, Louis, pecked Elle on the cheek before heading off to score a goal. The crowd cheered whenever we would score, Louis scored two goals causing Harry to grin proudly. I just rolled my eyes at him and focused on the match.

In the end the score was 5-3, we won and the field was being filled with proud friends of the team. Harry and I were heading down there but someone called out.

"Carmen!" That familiar Australian accent hit my ears.

Its been a long time.

I whirled around and saw my handsome ex boyfriend looking at me.

"Luke." I said.

He passed by students and neared us. "Hey, Hi...Umm.."

"Well, is it hi or hey?" I chuckled at him and he did too.

He had his hair in a quiff and his lip piercing still there. " Well, I'm just wondering if you don't have plans later cause the boys and I need a guitarist for our gig later."

"Why? What happened?" I looked over my shoulder to see Harry waiting.

Luke shuffled in his place. "Michael had to attend his mother's engagement party tonight." His blue eyes looked at me, pleading.

I gulped. "Depends, will the gig be at Midnight Memories?"

He nodded. "Yeah and we'll only be playing The Only Reason and Try Hard. You already know those, right?"

I bobbed my head. Flashbacks of me and Luke playing together in his room, us kissing in the back if his car after he showed me the lyrics of The Only Reason flooded my mind.

"Okay, well be there by 8. Bye Carr." Calling me by the nickname he gave me back then. He disappeared with Calum and Ashton in the massive horde of students leaving the bleachers.

I turned and smiled at Harry. "Sorry about that, so... Midnight Memories?"

The curly haired boy smiled lopsidedly. "Alright, Darling."

Even though I know Darling is my last name, I still grinned at him calling me that.
