"Okay, so, I have some news.” Ana started while putting the popcorn in a bowl.

"I have news too, but you go first." I take the drinks and we walk to the living room.

"You know Hyunjin?" she sat down next to me in the couch and I stared at her.

"No Ana, I don't know who our friend Hyunjin is." The sentence came out filled with sarcasm.

Ana rolled her eyes and threw popcorn at me.

"Anyways, he asked me out."

"WHAT?" my eyes widened and my mouth agape.

I knew Ana had the biggest crush on Hyunjin since forever and I always knew Hyunjin liked her too, but for some reason I'm still shocked.

Ana smiles and nods.

"Oh my god, that's great! Finally, I thought you two would spend eternity flirting and never date." I chuckle.

"Hey!" she hits my arm lightly.

"I'm happy for you babe, I really am." I say smiling.

I pick up the remote and turn on Netflix, browsing for a K-drama to binge watch.

"Oh! What about your news?" she taps me on the leg to get my attention.

"Oh right! I got a new job." I say not taking my eyes off the screen.

"Damn girl, already? Where?"

"At Chan 's cafe."

The silence is so loud It makes me look at Ana only to find her smirking, eyebrows perked up.

"nO-"

"Mili listen!"

"No he's my boss now, don't joke with that." My face turns into a disgusted frown.

"Yeah but he is still your crush-"

"Shh! Don't say that! He is my friend and that's it." I press into a show and try to put my attention to It.

It's true, I did like Chan but I stopped having hope the second he started dating a girl a few months ago.

They broke up now but It just made me realise that he would never see me that way. I mean why would he?

The girl he dated was so much prettier, charming and loving, she was actually so nice. I can't compete with that.

He deserves someone who is at the same level as him, someone who is as amazing, as beautiful, as kind.

"Mili are you rambling about your insecurities in your mind again?" Ana's comment brought me back to place.

"What- No, let's just be happy that I got a job with my friend and move on so we can watch TV." I smile, turning my focus to the show once again.

"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, again? Seriously, babe" I can hear her rolling her eyes and sighing.

"Be grateful I didn't choose 25/21 instead."

"Ugh."

"Shh."

I wake up with my alarm ringing on my bedside table.

07:00 am.
Fuck this shit.

I rub my eyes and stretch my body and finally get up.

Doing my normal routine but expect of having to dress formally, now I can dress how I normally would and that's a relief because I have so many outfits to wear.
