REALITY SLAP
"Mili…" Chan says my name in a calming way. I walked in the living room and there he was waiting for me to sit next to him so that we could watch a movie.
"Channie…" I imitate his tone as a joke and he lets out a chuckle while I cuddle into him on the couch waiting for the movie to begin but he never does, he just stays there holding me and looking me in the eyes.
"Oh come on, put the film on!" I hit his arm, trying to stop looking at me like that, I am blushing and I hate it.
"Wait, there is something I wanted to tell you before we started the movie." Chan turns his whole body to me which makes me realize that it is something important.
"Yeah, go ahead." I encourage him to talk. Chan sighs before holding my hands and now he really is worrying me.
"This might ruin our friendship but I can't hide it anymore, I-" Chan looks at me, the grip on his hands tightening "I like you, Mili."
"What?" My whole body goes warm and I know my face is red. I don't know what to do, I like Chan too but what if it doesn't work and I end up losing one of my best friends?
"I- Channie…" he holds my face and smiles softly.
"You don't have to answer now. And whatever the answer is, I'm fine with it… I just thought it would be fair for you to know how I feel." His finger is caressing my face and I melt into his touch, his words.
"I like you too Channie…" my voice comes out almost a whisper, I'm scared to say it.
Chan's eyes widen and he pulls me closer to him, our noses almost touch and my eyes can't decide if I should be looking into his lips qqzz,,or eyes.
"Can I… Kiss you?"
"Yes."
Chan is coming closer carefully and slowly as if he is scared to break me. We are so close I can feel his breath on my skin, this, I've been longing for this for so long.
"Hey Mili! Come on!" Chan wakes me up and I realize the dream that I just had. Oh God.
Chan is getting ready fast and I am still groggy and confused. I quickly come to my senses when Chan starts changing from his pajamas to clothes.
"What 's wrong?" I rub my eyes and try my best not to look out of respect. When I look up he is already changed and he is looking at me a bit desperate.
"We slept in! We were supposed to take up 30 minutes ago to take my mom to the airport!" He helps me get up but I get my full energy once I hear his statement.
I start getting my clothes and dressing up quickly but then remember. Chan.
I look at him and he has his back turned to me and a wave of relief and respect runs through my body as I start putting on the dress.
For the past few days I've been sleeping at Chan's house so that his mom didn't suspect anything, therefore I brought some change of clothes in case I needed.
I got to learn his mom's famous recipe for pancakes and they are exactly the same as when Chan makes them. We also went shopping in the afternoon after I got off work. Everything was fun and natural, that was until his mom stated "You know, it's weird that I haven't seen you guys kiss ever since I got here."
We obviously didn't know what to do and I got the excuse that it was because we didn't want to kiss infront of her out of respect and because we were shy about that. Thank God we got away with it.
